The standard size of international passports, including those issued by the United States, is 4.921 inches by 3.465 inches. The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which issues passport standards and recommendations to national governments, determines this measurement.
When I opened my wallet, I measured 3.75" -- If you emptied this wallet of all non-essential cards, it might fit IF you also put the clasp on the higher of the two snaps. Personally, I wouldn't carry my passport in a purse/clutch/wallet. We all wore the passport holder under our clothing. Inconvenient at times but stolen passports are more common than you may think.
Also, this 'wallet' is like a small hand clutch. Doesn't really fit nicely in jean pockets and I don't carry a purse, so it does get creative when I'm out/about.
Hope this helps you.
