Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good. We've had the unit a couple weeks now and I must say I'm mostly impressed! Currently we use the unit on the main floor of our house which is all laminate and linoleum flooring with the exception of an area rug. It scoots around obstacles fairly well and just fits underneath the diningroom chairs which it gets in and out of easily. The area rug is black patterned which supposedly can be problematic, but it handles it just fine. We have two high shedding dogs and the unit does a great job of picking up the hair. The exhaust out the back can blow the hair around on the bare floor which causes it to miss some, but overall it's great. I also like the fact that it pattern vacuums, not random path. The only issue I have so far is that it's missed a spot or two and of the dozen times it's run, it got "lost/confused" and could not find its way back to the base twice. I am hoping those are the exceptions not the norm. It is a pretty pricey item to have issues like that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well but some short comings I have used this Botvav D80 for about about 6 months to replace an iRobot version. It was less expensive as the iRobot which made me want to give it a try. The pros to the D80 over the iRobot is a much larger filter, dust bin, and beater. It does a good job picking up dog hair which is very important since we have two hairy dogs. It's more quiet too, maybe half the sound level, a big plus for me. The cons are this model does not use a app to control, the newer models do. Control us through the buttons on the unit. The control option to seal the dock and charge is is only available in one menu. When cleaning it has a tendency to climb up on some items when turning and he stuck. To create vertual walls requires laying down megnetic strips, seems like a good idea but is an eyesore if you need to keep them in place. Overall it's not too bad for the cost. Compared to the iRobot it's algorithms is not a well thoughtout. I do recommend the Neato Botvac if looking for an alternative to the higher priced iRobot vacs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cleaning fine....Operation and Navigation not The cleaning part of the D80 I received seems fine. The navigation and operation need some work. I did go though the suggested method of initially discharging and then charging the battery. The first couple of times I tried going through complete cleaning of the living area (900 ft² in 4 rooms and a bath) the unit would come back for a charge and stop with in a foot of the charger and indicate it needed charging. This last time I started a cycle the unit indicated it had a full charge. It took 3 trips back to charging station and each time it stopped with in less then a foot from the station and indicated it needed charging. The fourth time out it seemed to finished the job and made it make back to the station. I don’t seem to be able to find something that specs how much run time should be expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be ready to send it back for repair I have owned 2 Neato Brokebotics robots, and in less then 6 months, my first had a malfunction and was replaced by a cheaper model (and that replacement conveniently broke just out of the warranty period) - and now my latest one has given me a Neato equivalent to the blue screen of death with the dreaded code 3000. When they work, they work well, but be ready to spend your time and money to package up the broken ones and send back for repair if you are lucky enough to have the issue in warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great and SO Cute! I redeemed credit card reward points for this, and have had it for a week. I am very pleased, so far. It does a great job. The cliff and barrier sensors work well. It is meticulous going around chair legs in the dining room. I love how it gets under beds. It got caught in a tight spot one time, and was so cute as it shimmied to get free (which it did)! I will keep it clean, and I hope that it will continue to work well for a nice, long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it! It's been up-and-running for exactly one week, and the results are pretty good. It picks-up a ton (ok, maybe not a ton in weight, but whatever the equivalent is in volume of Shetland Sheepdog hair) of dog hair and dirt/dust, and that's a good thing. I do not mind the care-and-feeding the little guy requires in return for not having to actually vacuum myself. Really pretty impressed with it's overall ability and tenacity when it comes to getting to those places that I would tend to neglect with an upright vac. It's my first real robot.I'm still a little geeked-out with it, and I'll watch it vacuum my office when it rolls-in during the day. There's an side-effect of having this equipment: Since we want it to be effective in its work we are tending to keep general things picked-up a little more (shoes, dog toys, etc.). It does have it's little personality quirks: Can "get lost." Example: The wifes hair drier cord was in the bathroom floor, and after the bot wandered into the circle of the cord it could not get out. (Error 2009) It's got a nice (it's not nice) little squeak that occurs in some instances when it's moving over carpet or a rug. Haven't attempted to troubleshoot this yet. (Only error is in my ear.) It will find every loose-end thread on a rug/carpet and anchor itself nicely as it winds the thread to the roller. I'm not saying it wouldn't happen to any other robot vac... it's just my first experience. (Error code provided in expletives by wife when she finds it stuck to one of her rugs.) We named him "Harry," so I guess we're keeping him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only 2 days... This neato D8000 blows my previous irobot out of the water so far! The Neato maps out the area, cleans as much as it can, goes back for a recharge and to allow me to empty the filter and then it goes out second time! The carpets actually look as though I vacumed with my upright Dyson! And when it's done, it gies to my bedroom where I have the charger. It does this unerringly! Very impressed so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Botvac I have "Joey" cleaning my floors as I write this note. I got "Joey" 2 weeks ago and he is doing an excellent job cleaning my dog hair covered carpets and wooden floors. Now if I could only teach him to tidy the clutter before he vacuums. Well that would be another dream come true. I took "Joey" to my friends house to demonstrate what a great job he does and now she is buying one for herself.

which model is this? D75, D80, D85 or something else?

This is very important to know since Neato has so many models.
Asked by: djkinPa
The model I received was a D80.

Does this come w/ a combo brush?

The neato site indicates all D series 80/85 come w/ a combo brush, but this description does not say that. This leads me to believe this is a D75.
Asked by: Justin
So this is a D75, not a D80? JCP please advise
