Rated 3 out of 5 by Lives2hike 3rd time's a charm! Love it but serious quality control issues
I love it but reduced my rating because Neato appears to have serious quality control issues. My first vacuum arrived in a beat up box with incomplete instructions and no warranty info. It looked to be something that someone had returned. It worked beautifully...for 15 minutes. No matter how long it charged, it couldn't maintain a charge. I called JCP to exchange it and received one that held a charge but had poor suction and was constantly immobilized by furniture (where it would back up and rise up like a crab and just get stuck). I returned Neato 2 and was sent Neato 3. Finally, one that works!!! And it works well although it doesn't seem to clean in an organized manner (but since I'm not pushing it, who cares?). We have a dog & 2 cats so there's lots of pet hair. Neato does an excellent job collecting the hair. I wish it had a larger dirt bin but, so far, I love it! I hope that it lasts a long time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by hopefull I loved when it worked
I purchased my "Bob" on 11/30/2015 based on the multitude of positive reviews form different sites.
Out of the box it worked for about 8-12 min before it had to charge. Running time should be between 1 and 1.3 hours especially with new batteries. Neato sent me new batteries. Before Christmas my Bob was finally usable and running over one hour. Life saver! I called him "my only kid that does what i tell him right away and i don't even have to babysit him"
Then towards end of January 2016 i started to have to look for it around the house. Something was always happening: my brush is stuck, clear my path, my bumper is stuck, i had to reset please press okay, battery issue, battery low please charge me....even if path was clear, brushes, dust bin and filter were clean.--Another whiny kid! No thanks, I already got 3 of those!
I noticed running time severely decreased to about 15 min and even if docket all night it was not charging.
Now, at beginning of March 2016, i'm waiting for a new base from Neato. Their customer service was pleasant and helpful every time i had to call them. I still have hope to get my Bob to work properly. Otherwise....we will have to part ways.

Rated 4 out of 5 by develon5 Good robot vacuum
Very efficient when functioning 100%. There are days that it can't find it's docking station or will end its Cleaning House session having only done one room. Sometimes it will require you to clear its path but nothing is in front of it. Also the dirt bin seems troublesome and I've resorted to placing a thin piece of cardboard over the button.
Having said all that I do like this vacuum, just wish it was more consistent day-to-day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DogLover5 Not perfect, but I love it!
The good news is that it will clean your floors while you're busy doing something else. The bad news is that it is touchy and requires your attention more frequently than you'd hope.
I do believe the NEATO is smarter than the competitor's product. I was surprised with how well it maneuvered itself around the house and the spots it did manage to do that I can barely get to with my regular vacuum.
I am having problems with the brush getting stuck. It doesn't take make to stop the brush action... a badly placed dust bunny will do it. It's a pain to clean too... not the brush itself, but the gadgets on either side that hold the brush in place.
On the up side, I still love it because it really does a great job when it's working. I wouldn't use it for heavy debris, but for everyday touch ups... awesome... and I have long hair and five long haired dogs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by SusieQ Love the machine, but there is a design flaw.
This machine works incredibly well - but you have to figure out how it works with YOUR furniture. For me, I have several recliners and if Neato goes under the recline, he usually doesn't come out because he gets stuck. I have also decided that he cannot do a big room efficiently. It is better to divide the room in half using the boundary strips - and allow the machine to do one part of the room, then the next. I believe this machine would work perfectly in a small, one level apartment with sparse furniture and no recliners. But I have a bigger home - and what I do now, is allow the machine to do a room at a time under my surveillance. There is one design flaw - when the machine hits a "bump" like the edge of a rug, the dust bin pops up small amount and the machine stops and tells me to empty the dust bin. Constantly. Definitely a design flaw. Overall, I am pleased. And the power of this machine is great - it is amazing what is collected in a dust bin!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Alexander sometimes unreliable, sometimes cleaning well
(+) I own also one more neato vacuum cleaner robot, which runs very satisfying.
(-) But thisone here drives me crazy... gets stuck sometimes even if only one wall is touched... does not find back to the charger or wants to approach to it from the other side of wall, using the stairs... tries to climb up whereever it can and sometimes cannot climb down again to continue work.... resulting in 1-2 out of 3 attempts of cleaning result in calling me for help...
No Softwareupdates available, which initialy was one reason to buy neato.
(+) but if none of above problems happens, the cleaning result is very well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lee Emery Neato is confused
We moved into a new home and Neato had to contend with some moving boxes and repositioned furniture for awhile. Our home is finally in order and Neato is totally confused. It bumps into a wall or barely nudges a piece of furniture and stops for the path to be cleared. It can't find it's way back to the charging station. We have to reset or move it 15-20 times a cleaning. This is not what we signed up for!
