Rated 5 out of 5 by ChelseaKA Hot Air Popper
I LOVE this hot air popper. I was on the fence about buying it because of the reviews, but I went ahead and got one anyways. I am so glad that I did.
1. It is a MINI popper. It is intended to make a small batch of popcorn. It's not intended to feed 5+ people.
2. It is slightly loud, but its not a big deal. A lot of appliances make loud noises. The popcorn maker is only on for about 3 minutes, so the noise isn't a problem.
3. If the popcorn is burning, you are putting too many kernels in the popper. If the popcorn isn't cooking, you're not putting enough. (The same can be said if the kernels are popping out of the popper) FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. It says about 4 tbsp. I have used 4 tbsp every time and never had a problem.
4. Most importantly, preheat the unit for 2 minutes just like the instructions say. This prevents burning and excess kernels.
Basically, if you like healthy popcorn and can follow directions, this is a great purchase!

I made popcorn and it burned it. It can only hold a tablespoon of seeds at a time. Not made to use everyday. Not a high quality machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Barla Excellent alternative to microwave popcorn
We just brought this popper home. I have been reading some negatives lately about microwave popcorn and decided to get a popper like this. Used to have one a decade ago. We just popped our first batch and could not be happier! It's simple to use and makes great popcorn. We had a bag of organic yellow kernels and contrary to what the brochure says you CAN use organic corn!! (Don't know why the manufacturer would say you can't...) We melted a couple tbls of real butter and sprinkled a little fine salt on top and it is fabulous! And yes - it is a 1/2 cup of kernels- no more no less! And it is a bit noisy but worth it! Save money an buy some organic corn and get popping! I just got it so can't vouch for how long it will last. But it seems like a good sturdy and cute little appliance - thus I give a 'good'. And Penney's is great so if it breaks on you take it back and try again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mrsd1980 everything was perfect but...
I purchased this popper a couple of weeks ago and tried it that night after stopping at the grocery to get popcorn. It popped every kernel and everything went into the bowl. My disappointed was that the popcorn was tough and chewy.
I thought that it might be because I purchased the store's brand (bagged) which was cheaper. So, a couple of days later, I went to the store and got the named brand popcorn in a jar....it was not as tough, but still chewy. I checked the dates of both, well within the acceptable date period. I even tried refrigerating the popcorn to see if it made a difference. It didn't. So, sadly, tomorrow it is going back....even though I loved the way it looked on my counter and the price was reasonable.
I guess I will have to go back to the store to buy popcorn oil now, so that these 2 containers won't go to waste.

I bought this Nostalgia Electrics Hot Air Popcorn Popper as a Christmas gift for my daughter & grandson. It was out of stock at Christmas, but arrived later in January. They love it!
It really is nice looking and works great.
Her kitchen is decorated in Coke-a Cola nostalgia and the popper matched perfectly!

Works Great. Be sure to follow instructions and you will have healthy popcorn. Only wish they would add a way to get the popcorn buttered as its popping.
