Rated 4 out of 5 by jtom1876 from rather impressive I was rather impressed with the sleek design. I think it made some of the juices hamburgers I have had yet but it would be hard to operate if you missed placed the instructions not really user friendly, maybe a small data plate on top could cure this. Overall I was impressed, especially with the nonstick surface. It would be a great fit for a family of 2 or less because of the amount of items that can be cooked at one time. This product was given to me as a sample to try out and I really enjoyed it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RaStr from Grills great, but room for improvement! I received the Oster 7 Minute Grill to test its capabilities and performance. I used it several times in order to get a good idea of how the product worked, grilling different types of items. Overall, the grill performed great at grilling items thoroughly. The nonstick coating worked better than some other grills. Also, the timer feature is a great feature to have on a grill. In addition, the size of the grill makes it a perfect addition to an apartment kitchen countertop, and the flip feature to grill vertically is something very creative! There are many things that I would change about this machine, however. It is extremely difficult to clean. The plates are not removable, so when it comes to cleaning, it is a pain to get it 100% clean. Also, when items are cooked vertically, the parts closest to the grill drip hole do not seem to get that char look. Also, the timer does not continue to beep, so items can get overcooked if you do not hear the few beeps. Also, it is too small for certain portions of meats. Overall, this machine performs well, but it definitely could have improvements in the next generation. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jax581 from Fast and Easy to use !!! I got this about a month ago and I love it ! It is extremely easy to use. I mostly just cooked chicken breast, and it was done in about 7 minutes. I especially liked how you could tilt the grill so that the fat dripped onto the drip tray. The plates on the grill wiped clean so easily. This has become one of my favorite ways to cook dinner! A suggestion I do have for improvement would be to make the non stick plates able to disconnect easily from the grill so I could wash them in the sink. This product is also very compact and easy to store. Not bulky like other types of counter grills I own. I did receive this product as a sample to review and I love it! Rated 5 out of 5 by E_pott from Doesn't get easier or more convenient! The Oster 7 minute grill is truly one of a kind. It acts as both a grill and a panini press, which is an awesome double feature! Meat cooks absolutely perfect in the grill, staying juicy as well as tender, with grill marks you just can't get all the time, especially in 7 minutes. I use it for sandwiches all the time, because I love the grill marks. Grilled cheese has never been easier to make, and the cheese melts just right. All this goes without saying, the convenient grease catcher is such a nice bonus feature. It simply catches all the drippings from whatever it is you are grilling, making for a meal that is that much better for you! To clean is as easy as a simple wipe with a sponge followed by a paper towel. It doesn't get easier or more convenient to grill with this 7-minute grill by Oster! I received this product as a sample for an honest and accurate review of the product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by elymna from grill with bad coating quality Advantages: 1. This grill is compact and easy to store. 2. It is rotatable and turns sideways to allow all the extra fat to drip onto the drip tray. 3. The grill did cook things fast. Now comes the disadvantages: 1. you have to cut steak thin, otherwise the plate can not be closed 2. the plate is non-removable, make it difficult to clean. 3. the most annoying thing is stick issue, after first use, charcoal black burnt residue stays on the top white non-stick plate make it impossible to clean with sponge. I never had this stick issue on My old George Foreman Grill. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by Janine from Great for dieters and quick meals I received this skillet as a test sample and there were several things I like and don't like. I like that you can turn this unit vertically when cooking- I feel it's healthier than other grills because it allows lots of fats to drip off. This grill is perfect for a dieter, single person or maybe a college dorm student. The size was not sufficient for my family of 5- it's better used for individual servings. I liked the easy set up and fast it was to use. 5 minutes or less we had cooked food. I found it harder than directed to clean up even with the enclosed sponge- removable grills would be a great upgrade. When I cooked shrimp, they stuck to the top grill plate which made hot food removal difficult. Cooking spray would be my recommendation for fish. We enjoyed using it horizontally for grilled panini sandwiches. Chicken breast were cooked perfectly and were moist. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by BrianP from Easiest cleanup yet... After using the 7 minute grill 4 time so far, I feel like there is a new contender for meal prep in my house. I would not use this for anything more than a meal for one person, maybe two, but for my purposes, this is perfect. It heats up very quickly and leaves nice seat marks on my food. This is a nice alternative to starting the grill in the winter months. The non-stick surface is truly non-stick and everything I threw at it wiped right off easily. I wish the plates were able to be removed so I could just rinse them in the sink, but a wet paper towel worked just fine for cleaning. Since I received this grill in return for an honest review I cannot comment on the price I paid, but I will say that I plan to buy another one for my nephew once he moves into his first apartment soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by hgke483 from Lightweight and easy to use. The Oster 7-minute grill is definitely the most simple and easy to use grill you will find. There is no on/off switch - you merely need to plug it in and it starts heating up. The only feature of this grill is that it has a timer - which you can estimate how long to cook your food based on what it is. I wish there was a temperature adjustment though. The grill is large enough for one sandwich or one regular sized chicken breast. I found that it did cook the meat or sandwich quite nicely. The non-stick coating is the most durable coating I've come across, however it is a bit painful to clean because the cooking plates aren't removable. Overall, this grill functions well and as advertised. It is a great solution for those who might not have a lot of counter space or storage for a larger panini maker or indoor grill. Please note I did receive this grill as a sample to evaluate, however that fact had no bearing on the honesty in the review posted above.
