Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always great dealing with Penneys.com This Bali traverse rod was replacing a 50 year old Kirsch. It was easy to install since most of the holes lined up, all I had to do was insert the anchors. I am always pleased to purchase items from Penneys.com, it's quick and returns, if necessary, are easy. I do most of my shopping at my local store or online. Thanks Penneys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Traverse for any room Easy installation with one minus: very weak screw-nut (fixing ends) were broken immediately after mounting and we were need to find more powerful one. Total time for removing old traverse and replace it with newest one got about 20 min.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from improper screws for installation the screws that were sent for some of the install were not long enough and they easily stripped, had to go and purchase other screws to be able to install the curtain rods.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The product is plastic and not meteal I can't put patio drapes on a piece of plastic! The supreme drapes I purchased have to be on a metal rod that draws the curtain back and forth!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stout, Secure & more attractive than leading brands. We've tried other brands of traverse rods & they aren't all the same. These are Very Sturdy & hold our 9 foot long Heavy canvas drapes with Heavy rubbery lining, across an 11 foot span. No sagging, no drag, slides smooth. The rod itself is thicker than any other brand & looks Much nicer - more professional. The wall attachment is plastic & a bit cheesy, but hidden by drapes. Please don't judge the item by my horrible photography. Looks WAY better in person! ~ This is a "Sweepstakes Entry" yet has no reflection on my opinion nor review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well engineered and easy to install. The product was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. The draperies hang nicely and the hooks move smoothly along the track. Installation does not require a professional as long as you have the needed tools in your shop. Special tools are not required allowing the homeowner to do his/her own installation with tools most homeowners will have in their shop or tool box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is well made. This is a very large traverse rod and is a replacement for the new drape. It works smoothly and efficiently, allowing the drape to close completely eliminating all sunlight. The Penney's installer arrived on time and did a good installation.

Which side is the pull cord on?

I need a left sided pull cord but a middle open traverse rod
Asked by: Mobissa
out of the box it's on the right. I needed it on the left as well. There are instructions to make it left handed and its not very hard to do

what kind of curtains do I use for these rods?

Asked by: sherry
Pinch pleat curtains go on these rods. Do a JCP search for Pinch Pleated. Penney's has a variety of options, from light blocking drapes to sheers. Some of the images show them hung with clip rings, but most traverse rods have the little hole to connect drape with metal pin-on hooks (pictured) or slip-on hooks. Have a great day!

Can the rod include a sheer-panel inside the curtain?

I would like to have a sheer-panel together with the curtain, the sheer-panel does not need to move, it is just hang inbetween the window and the curtain. I purchased that kind of rod in one of JCPenney store but not anymore, I don't want get wrong rod. Thanks

I have a sheer curtain along with my drapery. It hangs on a separate rod and does not move. It works very well!

How long is the pulley cord?

I have 18' ceilings and am curious if this would work with those
Asked by: ajonesphoto
The width of your window would matter also, but we have the longest rod (120 - 180) on our 11 foot wide window (8ft high) & had to cut almost half off. It is plentiful! Hope that helps.

Can this rod be mounted to the ceiling?

Asked by: RIPMOMA
No. The cord would have to hang sideways & cause it to drag...eventually breaking the cord. Ceiling mount options are available - included with this answer.
