Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure I like the burner arangment. The stove works OK but there are a few thinks I'm not altogether happy with it. It's got a warming burner in the middle of the back which make the rear burner not line up with the front. I use a griddle that covers two burners and it now has to go at an angle. Also the bottom oven is low and you must bend over a lot farther then with my old oven when using it. My only other comment is if you have both ovens going and the burners also in uses it pulls a lot of electricity. I have to be careful what else I use in my kitchen or I blow the breaker. I like the cook top, this is my second ceramic cook top and I do like them a lot. It heats up faster then my last one and I like the large or small burner set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Product My wife loves this appliance. 2 ovens, 5 (7) burners, great features and good looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream stove I LOVE my new range-dual oven combo. I have to bend over more for the lower oven, but it's worth the effort! This combo takes up a lot less room for the flexibility of having two ovens. I also particularly like the electronics on the stove top since even 73 year olds like me can figure out how to make changes to time, temps, etc. OK, this review is written after only a month's use (including two weeks away from home on vacation), but so far I LOVE it. I hope the glass range where we place pots to cook won't start to look old after several years of CAREFUL use, like our other ceramic top of another brand. GE, I am counting on you!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Controls and manual can be better I bought this unit in December 2016 and we use it for cooking, baking, steaks and ribs ets. Machine is working well, but controls can be better. Manual attached to the unit is very poor, one downloaded from GE is only a little better, and it's not easy to find a right regime for your need, for example keep it running in repeated timer mode (that needs for steak), sound announcing end of time is very low. But in general it's a good machine and we are enjoin her 2 separate stoves allows me making steak while my wife is baking cakes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice! I have had this stove for about 3 months now and it has performed very well. It heats fast, has ample features and looks great with my other (non-GE) appliances. The only con I have about this stove is sometimes it can be a little difficult removing burnt on spills from the glass cooktop but that has more to do with me not wanting to scratch the glass than it actually being a con of the stove. Overall it is a great stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome! We really like our Double oven. Temperature seems accurate and heats up fast. Glass top does get hot and stays hot for a while. Even hot on the areas without the burner when using the glass top. The top oven does heat faster and may need to adjust cooking times if later you use the bottom oven. I miss not having the drawer, but for a family of 9 it is great for cooking many things at once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great affordable double oven with lots of features Purchased this as we really wanted a double oven. This one had all of the features we wanted at a reasonable price. I looked at several brands and we liked the smaller oven on the top which is great for pizzas, potatoes or really any side dish - just not going to fit a turkey in there but we never planned on cooking two turkeys. The oven is also very sylish.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the double oven! I bought this new oven about a month ago and I absolutely love the double oven. As with any new appliance, it took a bit of getting used to. The only negative is that this is my first glass top and it is a real pain to keep clean (this would be an issue with any glass top). I would definitely recommend this oven though and wish I'd gotten it years ago!

Is there a pedestal with this model? The bottom oven opens to the floor causing you to bend down a lot to get something out.

Asked by: junie
Hi Junie- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for choosing our GE® 30" FREE-STANDING ELECTRIC DOUBLE OVEN CONVECTION RANGE JB860SJSS! A pedestal is not available for the range. No more shuffling dishes around or trying to figure out how long to cook a dish at a different temperature than recommended. Our double oven ranges allow you to cook two different dishes at two different temperatures at the same time and provide plenty of room to cook the biggest of meals. Thanks for reaching out to us and for sharing your thoughts. Keep in touch!

This 30" GE range has a "regular" oven and a larger convection oven. Is it possible to turn off the convection in the lower oven?

Asked by: Jane
Hello Jane, I am happy to help. The lower oven offers the convection feature. If you do not want to cook with convection, you can just press the bake pad instead of convection bake. I hope this helps. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.

Can cast iron skillets be used on the cooktop?

Asked by: happysewer
Hello Happysewer. This is Lida with GE Appliances. Cast Iron cookware is not recommended. If the cookware has a burr or rough spot, it will scratch the glass surface. Additionally, it is slow to absorb heat. Once this type of cookware heats up, especially on high heat, it holds an intense amount of heat which is transferred to the cooktop. This can cause the element to shut down as a response to the temperature limiters which indicate surface temperature is too high for cooktop components to handle. I'm glad you checked.
