Rated 1 out of 5 by from most miserable washer , EVER My old washer had a load size , small, medium, large and you knew what you were getting for water level. and i like washing my clothes with fair amount of water, so that they move freely this new GE washer, no matter what size, i put it to, i have little or no water. clothes are washing by friction, not water. so your washer motor is going to work, twice as hard to move the laundry and we all know , what that is going to lead too.!!? had a repair person , twice to my home and still , i am filling my washer from a garden hose connection, in my basement. and it goes off balance, all the time because the laundry is collecting to one side of the drum( washing by friction) i am looking to return , this piece of cr-p and go with a brand/washer that gives my the water level, i want or maybe , go to a fixer upper store and find me , and old school washer GE, take the electronics off washers, it is the biggest waste and stick to the TRIED/TRUE appliances

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Happy!! I've had this washer just over two weeks. I thought I was buying a traditional washer with an agitator but it isn't. The specs from the store said that I could chose my own water level only to find out that the washer still senses the load level. I wash most of my clothes on delicate but with this washer it doesn't matter because the spin cycle is so fast the washer shakes like crazy (yes, it's level) and my clothes come out horribly wrinkled and mangled. I washed a load of sheets last night and put it on the "Whites" cycle at "medium" and the agitator was barely moving. I'm not sure if they got clean or not. Then when I took them out they were twisted and wrinkled. Who wants a washer that's going to create more work for you. My previous washer was Whirlpool and it lasted over 23 years. I wished I had called a repairman.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water levels and the "whine" I have not been at all pleased with this washer. The water levels are extremely low...Thank you EPA! I was so concerned at how little water was in the tub, that I scheduled a service call. The repairman said he constantly hears this complaint, and many customers have a hose from their laundry tub to the washer to increase the water levels! That is the most annoying of the two issues. The second being the "whining" sound the washer makes when it is in the wash cycle. Thankfully my machine is in the basement and not my living area. It is very noisy! I would not recommend this machine because of these two issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I wish it was more like my old washer. I could put clothes in my 20 year old washer and forget about it, until time to do a second rinse, then after put clothes in the dryer. Unfortunately it stopped working. With this washing machine, I have yet to do a wash with no balance spinning problems. I am as careful as I can be loading the washer, equally distributing the laundry around the laundry tub. Then I have to baby sit it because it will actually walk out from the wall during a spin cycle. I'm afraid it will pull the drain hose out. I have had to get the clothes out wet and put them back in evenly around the laundry tub and run the drain and spin cycle. The machine cleans the clothes as long as you use the super load, deep rinse and fill the laundry tub only half full of clothes. I don't understand where any of these new washing machines saves any amount of water, because you can not was as many clothes at a time. I'm doing 2 to 3 times as many loads to get the same amount of clothes washed... so where is the water savings. I would LOVE to have a NEW washing machine made like the old ones were made 20 years ago!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, Simple yet Elegant After reading hundreds of reviews of HE type washers, we chose this GE model. It has all we need, without the high tech features that often cause headaches and problems. It is simple yet elegant and gets the job done. We are very happy with our choice and would recommend it highly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Noisy Washer I just bought this washer, and very unhappy with the noise level. It is basically the same type machine that I had for the last 15 years, but it is so much louder! The agitator make a very loud, annoying sound during the entire cycle. In fact the entire washing process other than filling and draining the machine is very loud. I have to shut the door to the laundry room. It cleans well, but I am very annoyed with the noise level.

Washer bouncing when in rinse going to spin cycle!

I purchased a GE washer from you last month.I love the washer but whenever it goes into the rinse cycle it bounces about before going into the spin cycle. The loads are not big and they are placed evenly when starting. What is causing this?
Asked by: mike
maybe it is not level on the floor i do not have that problem sometimes it will get unbalanced but it will balance itself and continue on with the cycle. maybe you should try a different cycle for amount of clothes or water
