Can I use the freezer in the garage?

I believe that it has manual temperature control and manual defrosting therefore its use in the garage should not be a problem.
Asked by: Kaydee
Hi Kaydee- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing! To obtain efficient operation, a freezer should be installed properly. Follow these guidelines for the best location for your freezer: Place the freezer where the surrounding external temperatures will not exceed 110 degrees F. or fall below 0 degrees F. Position the freezer in a dry, well ventilated room. Do not install it in a closet. Be sure to install the freezer on a floor strong enough to support it fully loaded. Place it solidly on the floor. If the floor is uneven, use shims to level the freezer. Allow for a 3" air clearance on each side and rear of the unit. We hope this helps. Enjoy!

is this made in the USA? or assembled only in USA?

I saw several small freezers like this that did not last long, frost keep building up, compressor making a loud noise after couple of yrs and finally did not give the expected freeze.
Asked by: victor
Hi Victor, While many of our products are assembled and manufactured in the US, this particular freezer is manufactured Globally. We appreciate you checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.
