Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too much tech I like the agitator and the deep fill features on this washer. However, sometimes I have to rewash articles because they are not clean enough or that even with the deep fill rinse, there is still softener on my clothes. I like to soak whites prior to washing and this washer does not allow me just to fill and stop for however long I feel is suitable. I would rather have less technology and let me decide the how I would like to wash my clothes. I have to reset the refill featlure on heavy loads because the clothes are not covered with water. I like clean clothes after washing. I had bought another brand prior to this one and took it back within one week. The GE is a step ahead but still does not give me the freedom to decide how I want to wash my clothes. Sorry, but no machine can decide what is the best way to wash clothes. Give us some credit! Give me an old fashion machine with fewer choices and good old fashion clean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Deep Fill Sucks My wife hates this machine. Almost impossible to find a washer with full size agitator, thanks to the government. First the instructions are written for 5 different models. After choosing the correct model and making sure you read that models instructions only. The information sometimes seems confusing. The Deep Fill feature seems confusing and my wife has difficulty adding additional water according to instructions. It never seems to work. She gets frustrated when additional water does not get added. She fills whatever amount the washer adds and then Pulls the washer power cord, reinserting the cord allows additional water to be added to the washer. Previous GE washer performed poorly

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not happy with washing time! Our 1988 washing machine had to be replace last week. Never EVER had to have a day of service and it looked like it was brand new. So we purchased another GE washer. This thing takes FOREVER to wash a load of clothes. They look clean and seem to be a tad drier when they came out of washer. Will see with more washes if it is my fault with the settings that are a little confusing. It shakes like crazy when spinning.... old one didn't do that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not fantastic We've had it a month . Constantly unbalances load during wash cycle . Have to stop and redistribute load in order to continue .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm impressed! So far, this washing machine is GREAT! I've only had it 4 days, but have run about 7 loads of laundry. Compared to the last washing machine I had, a Maytag that only lasted 2 yrs., this washer is infinitely quieter, faster, and provides plenty of water. Everything I've washed is very clean. I like all the choices of washing cycles, and that during the washing cycle, I can open the lid to check on the amount of water the load has. I am very happy, and trust me, that says a lot!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, basic washer. I purchased this washer about three months ago. There are a few features that I am still getting used to such as the lower water usage and the "lid lock". Recently I took a load of clothes out to put into the dryer and I noticed that there was still fabric softener on the clothes and I had to wash them again. I will need to get my book out to see if this was user error or a problem with the washer. In general, I am pleased with the purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I bought the washer 4 months ago and I am looking for a different one already. There is never enough water to clean the clothes even if the "deep fill " is used. This may be okay for families that don't really work hard and play hard, but if you get dirty there has to be water involved in cleaning up! With my old washer this was never an issue. I had all the water I wanted and I could wash two loads in the time it takes to wash one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love the agitator I used to have a washer with an agitator, I didn't think they made them anymore! I'm so happy that GE still does. I have found that the top loaders without the agitator wrings up the clothes so tight from spinning, that they get distorted and misshapen. I think the agitator helps to keep that from happening in this washer. Sometimes old school is better in my opinion!
