Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome features This is my first induction oven and I love it. I had wanted gas but the cost of adding in the gas line was too prohibitive so if I didn't get gas, so I wanted to try the induction range. Pluses: great stovetop cooking. It heats quickly and does not retain the heat once you turn off the stove. Cooking has more finesse than the typical electric range top. I love the feature in this model, the glass top extends past the side of the range so it sits on your counter top. It provides a clean look and the food does not run down the side of the range where you can't clean it. Cons: you need pots and pans with metal that has strong magnetic qualities. I had to buy new pots and pans (which i love) but you need to factor that in with your costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GE has met expections with their new induction. After waiting several months for the release of this stove, I am happy to say we are not disappointed. We had been reading about induction for sometime and my husband and I decided GE was the right decision to compliment our new kitchen. The three shelves in the oven work great with convection and allow cooking of several items a once. We had already done the tiling and counter and were hoping this oven had the built in fill at the back and it did. No modifications were needed. Fits just right with the adjustable legs. We did not have to put in the stabilizer clamp provided. As others comment, the water boils significantly faster that with my prior electric range and the warming drawer works like a champ. The only negative is the plain solid black top. To keep the top looking sparkly, it does require using the cleaning product after each use or any moisture left from wiping up a spill or spatter with a clean dish cloth or paper towel shows up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing control I had done extensive research anticipating we were going to need to replace our electric range when it failed, two days after Christmas. With a house full of guests arriving momentarily, for a week in the mountains, and 2 refrigerators full of food, I lamented the timing, I knew the GE Profile series induction range was the best but the cost at that moment felt prohibitive and we needed a range delivered immediately. My husband insisted there would be no compromise and the GE Profile Series induction range was delivered the next day. But for a couple of instances when I needed to flip the curcuit breaker on & off to reset the electronics because of a power surge it has exceeded my very high expectations. The response and minutiae temperature control of the stove revivals the finest gas tops and the oven bakes, broils and roasts to perfection both traditionally and using convection. Plus 3 or more hours of pizza making or baking does not result in the kitchen being an oven!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Induction stove - AWESOME! We've only had this range for a week or so, so I can't speak to reliability or durability, but I can talk about the performance. I've never used an induction cooktop before. I love gas but hate the cleanup and don't really like normal electric glass cooktops - stuff really cooks onto the surface. This stove was a revelation. It's every bit as quick and direct as gas, but I think even more powerful, because the heat is coming through the entire bottom of the pan, not just where the flame hits. I put on a can of soup on the high setting, turned around to do something at the sink, heard a suspicious sound, turned around, and the soup was at a full boil. Maybe two minutes - amazing. And then I turned it down to a simmer and it dropped off of the boil instantly. My wife is still moving pots off of the burner out of habit - I'm trying to convince her she doesn't need to. And if food spills on the burners, it doesn't cook on, so cleanup is incredibly easy.  I'm totally sold on induction. Seems like the best of all possible worlds...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stove Takes getting used to induction because its so fast. Dont-take-your-eyes-off- it fast. Magnetic pans from Costco great, doubt that heavy pans needed for even heating because induction heats whole surface of pan anyhow...no hot spots. Higher settings only really used for boiling water as even 8 (of 10) can burn meat being browned. Control response time faster than gas. Clean up much easier as nothing burns on glass cooktop! Flat sceen controls annoying but work fine. Oven is great, as it should be. Warming drawer great to store stuff... and top warming spot good for warming plates too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High End Custom Feel I love the quick response of the induction top - fast to heat and fast to cool down. Love how easy it is to clean with the touch controls on the front. Very solid construction. Only negative is that is does NOT have a gray patterned top as the specs state - it's black glass just like all the others. We really wanted the gray to match the oven door and control panel - we were very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Gas! I had a gas stove prior to this, and while gas is controllable and preferable to a regular electric stove, induction is superior to gas. Amazingly adjustable, instant control and NO HOT SPOTS. You can even do a low simmer, all day long if you want or need to. Hopefully this range will last a very long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect electric range! I bought this and installed it three years ago with my kitchen remodel. It has worked flawlessly, and I'm never going to be happy cooking any other way. It's clean, FAST, and efficient. What's more, the bottoms of your cookware won't get cruddy, either!! It's the most awesome way to cook, hands down!!
