Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grown up Christmas I purchased this cooktop along with four other GE appliances for our kitchen remodel. This is the first glass top I've ever used, and after reading some comments online, I was a little hesitant and concerned that I had already purchased it. I've been using the cooktop daily for about a month, and I have experienced zero problems. I did think I had scratched it but was pleased to find it was just a mark that wiped off easily with the a little bit of the cleanser that came along with the product. The burners heat up very quickly. I love the variety of features which allow using the small or large burners within each spot as well as the dual burner set that can be used for griddles. Having five separate cooking areas will prove beneficial when cooking for larger family meals. I was disappointed to read online (after purchase) that I should not use an iron skillet. I found other comments, however, that explained it was important to use caution as to avoid scratching, as well as use a lower heat setting. I followed these suggestions and have used the iron skillet without any problems. Happy with the purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and cooks great! Love it! Beautiful! Cooks great! Read reviews about difficulty with cleaning. If you follow cleaning instructions, you can maintain the beauty of your stovetop. Yes it is a little labor intensive (5 minutes), but worth it. The key is that you have to let it cool completely before trying to clean it. One other thing is that at our time of purchase the website measurements were not accurate. I don't know if that has been changed or not. The actual stovetop is 29 7/8" X 20 7/8" which meant we had to purchase a filler so that it would fit existing hole. I also checked all of my cookware to make sure there were no rough bottoms as not to scratch the cooktop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great for cooking HORRIBLE for cleaning This was a replacement from our home warranty for a different brand of cooktop. It actually cooks better and I love all of the choices on the burners, HOWEVER, I would never buy it again [nor another brand configured like it] because the way the knobs stick up make it a royal pain to clean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from design I would rather have the knobs on the side than the front. Having the large burner in the back is awkward for stirring and adding ingredients. I am very careful with the pans but they still leave marks on the surface sometimes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look! Always been a GE fan based on appearance, durability, and endurance. I bought this cooktop replacing a whirlpool range. It has a clean glass finish that is easy to maintain and its features are easy to operate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice cooktop! We replaced our countertops recently and decided to also purchase a new cooktop at the same time. I would really love to have a gas cooktop but we don't have gas service in our neighborhood and I wasn't willing to pay to have a propane tank installed. I thought seriously about induction but was kind of scared by some of the reviews I read about various induction cooktops. So after reading all the reviews, I settled on this cooktop and it's been surprisingly nice to work with. It seems to heat quickly and evenly and I really haven't had any issues. I have two minor complaints: it's kind of hard to see the setting markings near the knobs (we have the black cooktop with the stainless knobs) and the sync burner wasn't quite what I was expecting. I have had a "bridge" burner on a GE range before and not only do the two burners work together but the space in-between also heats up. With the "sync" burners, the burners work in sync but the space in-between doesn't heat up. I didn't realize this difference until I actually used my cooktop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cooks great, but...... The cooktop heats up well and evenly. Having multiple size burners is a nice option-makes cooking much more efficient. You will, however, spend a lot of your time keeping the surface clean. Pretty much every time you use it-you'll be cleaning it. The power boil setting is really nice. Just wish someone would invent a cooktop that you didn't have to clean so often.
