Rated 5 out of 5 by from Promotions change too rapidly Although I love the curtain rods I am highly disappointed in the way JC Penney does their promotions. The curtain rods were originally $75 each and after a promotion I paid $183.09 for the three rods. The next day after they shipped a different promotion was announced which would have saved me about $15 overall. Now today another promotion is announced which would have saved me over $50. To say the least I am highly upset on an item that I was told in the store that would not be less than I paid when I placed the order. Will re-think about ordering from JCPenney again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I highly recommend this product Although, the product is a little bit expensive, it worked perfectly for me. The rings are open and because the ends of my custom rods are bigger than the standard size, this was the only ring that fit the purpose. I believe, JC Penney is the only store that carries it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rods These rods are perfectly suited to my need for a rod that would fit the side of a window that was close to a wall. Rods with finials sticking out would not fit. These fit perfectly. They are very nicely colored and of good quality. The (almost) same colored C rings finished the job nicely. You cannot see the slight difference in C ring color and rod color from a few feet away. I hung thermal curtains and they wrap right around the rods to the wall, keeping the cold air out. Very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from curtain rods came twice damaged and missing the brackets ... penneys would not just send me the brackets.. waiting for my new order to come I got the curtain rods twice and both times... they came with missing brackets and first one was a damaged rod. Penneys would not just send me new brackets.. I have to reorder and return the rods I got. UPS had a note in my last package,,, saying they got these damaged and there was only rods in the box & if there was brackets in there... they were missing. I rated this very low and that is because of the way it was packaged and had missing parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for tight spaces I needed this for a bay window where the space was tight. They did a great job, and the rod is strong enough to not need the center bracket. Good thing because it wouldn't have fit anyhow. The rod is perfect for light blocking curtains as it will allow you to pull the curtains to the wall and block any side light. I'm happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good purchase! JCPenney Home™ 1" Curved Adjustable Curtain Rod The rod has a nice finish that is very neutral. I needed a rod that could be used with grommets and would clear the wall enough to place the curtains on the sides to block morning light. Works perfectly and looks good! I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too heavy! The rod was of excellent quality, but way too heavy. Center support was inadequate to hold any weight. It didn't look like the ends would support much weight either. I can't imagine putting any weight of drapes on this rod. I could hardly lift the rod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Curtain Rod I ended up ordering another of these curtain rods because they are extremely nice. I have sheers on them in both spare bedrooms and love them.

Is there a way to use this rod, and still easily install/remove a curtain without the use of clip rings?

Asked by: Shelly
Pop it off the mounts and slide the curtain off. I loathe the clip rings myself, so you won't catch me meticulously removing a curtain from them; I'd sooner slide the who curtain and rings off and place another one - perhaps with grommets - in its place.

What does the center support look like? I think that we have the wrong one. The rod will not sit properly.

Asked by: Cindy
it looks like a wire and then has a little curved place for the rod just to sit on... but we do not even have the rods up as one rod had the brackets and all missing. I have got torn box twice .. Now still waiting for the new rods to come as they would not just send me the brackets.

How would the drapery slide past the support brackets?

Asked by: Julie
I used rod on a standard size bedroom window so I do not have a support in the middle and there are no supports on the sides of this rod. I have two grommet panels of a good weight and the rod does hold them. This rod does not have any plastic. I really like it. Looks good and is substantial.

Are you able to put a curtain on/ take the curtain off without detaching the rod from the wall?

Asked by: Shelly
Not by design. If you use clip rings you could remove a curtain from the rings and clip a new curtain on the same rings, though that would take more time than just removing it from the mounts and sliding the curtain and clips off at once.

What rod could I use with this rod for a valance?

Asked by: Muffie
I would not use another rod to hang a valance. This rod calls for the coordinating C rings. It stands out nicely alone and I think another rod would "fight" for attention.
