Rated 2 out of 5 by from Had to return them. Good quality material, but did not work out for me. The brackets are different than the usual, plain ones. Had to return both shades because they would not roll up or down with ease. Followed the directions and they still would not work right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blocks out the light and that is what I wanted Rochelle helped us with selecting this. She works in Turkey Creek. Very smart, knowledgeable about the product. Great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It really helped me, but The shade itself is what I expected, so no problem there. I do get a bit of light coming through the sides. I was concerned when I opened the package that it was about 5/8" shorter than I ordered. They don't really explain this when ordering, but I think it is intentional to center the fabric in the opening. The fabric on one side is inset about 5/8" from the fixed roller end, so you have a 5/8" gap there no matter what. The fabric on the other side is different ....... it's flush with the fixed roller end. If they did not automatically reduce my measurement by about 5/8", the fabric would be offset in the opening. There is no plunger-type fitting on either end of the roller (both ends are fixed).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have purchased Penney shades in the past, and preferred those over the current supplier of room dardening shades. Difficult to attach shades hangers to top of window frame, but the shades are good for the price.

In your window shade size options does 48-55.75W x 64L mean that the maximum available width is 55 3/4" wide ?

Asked by: Jack
Yes, that is the maximum width of the shade.. Also need to add 1/2 inch to the shade width you want.

Does this window shade use the old-style brackets? Other shade models I have purchased (#7360442) in the past are sold out in the size I need.

Asked by: Miles
No, these shades do not use the simple, old style brackets. To me, they don't work as well.

Is it necessary to subtract a specific fraction of an inch to account for mounting hardware?

For example, when ordering the Saratoga shades, it is necessary to subtract 1/8 inch from the window size so that the mounting hardware will fit.
Asked by: Tiff
Add 1/2 inch extra to the width of the shade you want.

You didn't answer my question: Are they the old-style brackets as used in item #7360442 (now out of stock).

Of course they come with brackets. What kind of brackets? I want a new blind I can just "drop in" my old brackets already in place. I've tried one new model where the brackets are much different, much larger, and will not work for me.
Asked by: Miles
The brackets are specific to this particular roller shade. The two brackets that come with the shade are completely different from one another, and they are NOT universal.

The description talks about inside mount. Is that the only option or will the hardware included also allow this shade be mounted outside?
