Solar mesh roller shade works as an energy-saving window treatment to block up to 56% of ultra-violet rays.

  • cordless product safe for homes with young children and pets
  • light-filtering solar screen helps protect your furnishings and floorings from fading caused by sun exposure
  • absorbs heat and reduces glare keeping rooms cooler in summer
  • heavy-duty spring mechanism allows you to position the shade at any height
  • made of PVC-coated polyester fibers
  • easy installation

Fits windows up to 64" or 72" in length. Window must be at least 1⅜" deep for inside mount and 2¼" deep for flush inside mount. Vinyl/polyester. Shipped with hardware and instructions. Wipe clean, vacuum or dust. Imported.

To order: After measuring your windows, select the size range you need, and the color and quantity and click on "add to bag." You will then be able to specify the exact width you need for your shade. For inside mount, subtract 1/8" from your overall width to account for mounting brackets.

Note: If you are ordering more than one shade within the same size range and want the shades cut to different widths, you must place each shade in the shopping bag separately.

See "how to measure" link for a complete set of measuring instructions.

Spring motor roller shades are manufactured with approximately 8” of extra fabric added to the length. This is required for the proper operation of the spring activated roller mechanism.

FREE SWATCH: If you would like to receive a swatch of the fabric prior to ordering the item, please e-mail customerservice@phaseii.com to receive a sample swatch of fabric. Please include your name, address, item description and color that corresponds with your selection. Allow 5 days to receive the swatch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I expected, but works I expected the material to have a smooth, fabric-like feel, but in reality, the shade is kind of rubbery, like a non-slip mat you put under a rug. Also, the measuring instructions says round down to the nearest 1/8" and the product description says "For inside mount, subtract 1/8" from your overall width to account for mounting brackets." I followed these instructions and the shade I received was just a hair too narrow for my comfort. While it could sit in the bracket, it was loose enough that one bump could make it fall out. I was able to bend the mounting brackets inward a little to make it more secure, but I'd recommend just rounding down to the nearest 1/8" and leaving it at that. The edges of the shade are cut (a bit unevenly in some spots) and not finished. Overall, it looks fine from a distance, cuts the intensity of the sun, and operates smoothly. I'm hoping it will help save my hardwood floors from further fading. Good value for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive solution to a problem I have a small room with 4 tall windows on 2 adjacent walls, but couldn't stand the outside glare to enjoy the view. These solar shades provided me an inexpensive solution that solves the problem. They also give me the added benefit of more privacy during the day. They are limited in width, so I had to double up on my 2 wider windows, but they work fine. They come with a flimsy plastic insert for the bottom hem, but each insert was broken on at least one end (some on both ends) because they were shipped loose in the paper mailer. Instead of the plastic, I opted to buy a wooden dowel for each and keep the shades down and fairly taut at all times. These were on sale, and I am pleased with these shades so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from hoping it lasts at least 2 Texas summers. At the closeout pricing, whats not to love. I estimate the solar-blocking at ~50% or less. The brown color nicely coordinates with house paint and even sparkles a little in early-eve. sun. Although the screen-roller works as expected & smoothly when new, I would NOT describe the spring mechanism/motor as "heavy duty". I attached this screen to the outside of my west-facing storm-door to give the thermal-film on the interior-glass some help. Our S.E Texas sun can be brutal to man-made materials, so I will be satisfied, IF I get 2 full summers from this "PVC coated" screen. Although I did not return it, I was a more than a little annoyed that my screen arrived narrower (29-3/4") than ordered ( 31"). Even measured to the outside of the mounting-brackets (30-1/4") was still less than ordered width. The length is comfortably over 78". Although it was shipped from a location less than 600 miles from my store, it still took 8 days for delivery. Sadly, JCP does NOT have any internal tracking for these products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product is great but Unfortunately someone forgot to wear their glasses that day. Two out of 9 shades ordered were cut wrong. Also the plastic handles/strips were badly cracked. Shades look great on the windows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product. I had these hanging in my home for the last 10 years, I bought these just to change colors. Custom look too, because they are ordered to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love how the blinds keep out the rays but yet you can see out. Love them. Have them in my 3 season room on the west side of the room. Keeps the sun out by yet you can see out!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HOW to MEASURE for THESE BLINDS. Owned for many years! Read all for many Tips. It seems many of us are unsure how to measure our window for these blinds so I wanted to let you know if your inside diameter is (for example) 38 1/4" then that is the EXACT size to order in these blinds. You do not need to add or subtract inches because the blind will be from metal tip to the other metal tip 38 1/4". Also, the RIGHT side (but not the left side) metal tip of the blind adjusts downward (pushes in) about 3/8th of an inch, leaving you with a 3/8" play in hanging your blinds (see attached photos of metal press-in tip). Again, I would not subtract anything from my true window measurements for inside mounting. The cutting of the "fabric" is a little jagged but barely noticeable. What is noticeable is the blinds are made of an odorous vaporous polyvinyl chloride, it says so on the cardboard roller, so I let them air outside for a couple of days before installing them. These are made in Taiwan and assembled in China. For the price I paid, the quality is good enough but there are certainly better mesh blinds out there. These do NOT give you any privacy at NIGHT; however, they surprisingly give a lot (high moderate) amount of privacy during DAYLIGHT hours. At night, with your inside lights on, it is as if you have no blinds installed; yet, during the day, they work really well because you can see a person is walking around inside but you can not tell if its male or female or what they are wearing. You can very clearly see outside during the day or night. These are extremely easy to install and comes with heavy duty metal brackets. Be sure to pre-drill your holes before attempting to screw in "these" screws or the heads may break. Lastly, I've owned one of these blinds for 4 years and it still looks new. It too has a cardboard roller as does the Oct 2016 ones I've just ordered and installed. These came to me poorly packaged with some damage. JCP made things right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These blinds rock! I have an art studio with west facing windows that got as hot as a pizza oven on sunny days. When I installed the solar mesh blinds from JCPenney the temperature dropped immediately but the light still shines through in the most beautiful way! I have great light for art creation but I am not cooking to death! I am so pleased with the blinds, they saved my studio practice!

Can you see throught these from the outside ?

Can you see inside from outside through these ?
Asked by: Tammy
Yes, to both questions. They do not block the view, they just soften it . They are similar to a screen.

Are the rollers metal, wood or cardboard?

Asked by: mtsteinert
I am including 2 photos of the roller. I own and have installed 5 of these. One was purchased in 2012 and the others at the end of 2016. They are all HEAVY DUTY CARDBOARD and the tips are heavy metal.

Would these look nice in the bedroom? I already have a nice blackout chocolate brown curtain, but was looking for something to let a little light in

Asked by: anab
I have one in my bedroom window, which faces south, and really like it. It lets light in but blocks the bright sun. I just ordered another for our dining room window which also faces south.
