COLOR
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very attractive and stylish I originally bought this rod to go with another pair of panels I bought; but ended up bringing them back as they didn't go well in the room I was putting them in. The color of the grommets was Aged Pewter and the color of the Rod was called Aged Pewter. When I received them together the colors were completely different. The grommet colors were more like aged bronze. Luckily it all worked out as I bought another pair of panels from JCP and the grommets and rod look spectacular together :) The Rod is heavy duty but not bulky looking. Has a great design on each end; very stylish. Goes well with any decor. Very pleased with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple curtain rod, gets the job done I like the look of this curtain rod, I was looking for something simple instead of ornate. The finnials on this were exactly what I needed. We weren't able to use the middle supporting piece for the rod due to the height it needed to be hung at and the window placement, but we just made sure the rod was shortened as much as it could be and tightened the finnials down very well. So far we've moved the curtains back and forth and have had no problems. Sweepstakes entry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product is easy to install I ordered 2 of these curtain rods for my double slider doors, and they look very nice and hold the weight of the curtains without a support bar in the center. I would recommend them for sure! And I got them 40 percent off, so the price was nice too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Quality Rod It is difficult to find double rods. It is even more difficult to find quality rods. JCPenney never disappoints regarding the quality of their rods. I ordered this one in antique pewter as this one isn't available in brushed nickel. It is simplistically beautiful. The color and appearance is true to the image posted, and everything was packaged very well so as to protect the rod from damage/marring of the finish. I have not rated the durability as it is new and I cannot comment on that at this point, but expect it to last as it appears to be made of quality materials. I highly recommend this rod. I rated the rod an excellent value as it was on sale and I also had a percent off coupon. It was still not inexpensive, but was an excellent value considering the quality of the item. The regular price is quite pricey, but this rod is not resin or painted plastic like the majority of rods that are sold elsewhere, and so the adage that you get what you pay for rings true -- hope when you are shopping for rods that JCPenney has them on sale and you'll be even happier with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this curtain rods All my other curtain rods would sink in the middle, these ones are nice and sturdy, even without the middle rod holder

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks Great BUT... These rods look really nice in the box but closer inspection shows: Extremely cheap, lightweight metal Finish that scratches too easily-sliding grommets will scratch them immediately. Inconvenient rod attachment in that you must slide the rod through, not enough room to place it down and into the bracket, so curtains have to be on the rod as you hang. Also If you decide to leave one grommet outside the bracket to close the gap the entire thing must be taken down/apart, rod separated so the grommet can be removed. Very inconvenient. Main complaint is the finish which scratched off as I was hanging, and I was careful, realizing it was poorly done. I cannot recommend these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What I neeeded Simple, traditional design curtain rod that I used above the windows in the dining room, living room and family room. I purchased 6 rods (3 double and 3 single) in two different sizes for use and have hung them all now. Being able to select the color was key for me so I could match the rods to the rest of the rooms' decor. The only words of caution I would give to others when purchasing & installing are: 1) Do not intend to use the rods to their maximum length unless placing light weight fabric on them because more expanded the rod gets, the weaker it is in the middle. Plan on having at least 2 to 3 inches of overlap of the inner rod and outter rod for stability and preventing a sag in the middle. 2) When installing the brackets, do not place them too close to the window trim because the curtains can't cover the brackets leaving the window trim work exposed (not attractive).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok The rod is nice looking but I bought the width I needed and it's quite weak in the middle and sagged bad without the extra brackets put up in the middle. I didn't want to have to use them because it will make it harder for me to take down and put back up the curtains for cleaning because the pole has to slide between the brackets. The other rod I bought from JC Penney was thicker and sturdier that I put above my sliding glass doors and did not need brackets in the middle to support it because it was heavy and well made.

Number of brackets included for 48-86" rod?

How many brackets come with the 48-86" rod? I'm wondering if there are three... would like to have a center bracket for support in the middle.

Do the finials come off? How big are the finials?

One of my windows is in a corner and I don't have much room between the frame and wall. I am hoping I can remove one finial and have the rod go to the wall at the corner.
Asked by: GIna
The finials both are threaded for removal purposes!

Does the front rod sit a bit higher than the back rod?

I'm planning to use clip rings to hang the front curtain panel and want to make sure the sheers on the back rod won't show at the top. Thanks.
Asked by: Gigerina
You can attach them them either way

What is the size of the finial? I have a very tight space and I'm concerned there won't be room for it.

Asked by: Kaye
The finial is not too large. Maybe the size of a standard doorknob.
