WIDTH IN WHOLE INCHES - 55-72 *Required

IF ANY - 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 OR 7/8

The Saratoga cut-to-width roller shade effectively blocks light and ensures privacy, with a light-blocking blackout layer sandwiched between two layers of vinyl. Note: Roller shades will be slightly narrower than the width ordered; to avoid the resulting light gap on each side and to achieve maximum privacy and light control, consider outside mount.

  • cordless product safe for homes with young children and pets
  • cut to the exact width you need from 15" to 73¼" wide
  • embossed vinyl with the look of fabric
  • white on street side except ivory which is the same color on both sides
  • heavy-duty spring roller mechanism allows you to adjust shade to any height

Fits windows up to 64" long. Inside or outside casing installation. Window must be at least ¾" deep for inside mount, 2¼" deep for flush inside mount. Mounting hardware and instructions included. Shades wipe clean with a damp cloth. Imported.

To Order: After measuring your windows, select the size range you need, and the color and quantity and click on "add to bag." You will then be able to specify the exact width you need for your shade. For inside mount, subtract 1/8" from your overall width to account for mounting brackets.

Note: If you are ordering more than one shade within the same size range and want the shades cut to different widths, you must place each shade in the shopping bag separately.

Spring motor roller shades are manufactured with approximately 8” of extra fabric added to the length. This is required for the proper operation of the spring activated roller mechanism.

FREE SWATCH: If you would like to receive a swatch of the fabric prior to ordering the item, please e-mail customerservice@phaseii.com to receive a sample swatch of fabric. Please include your name, address, item description and color that corresponds with your selection. Allow 5 days to receive the swatch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Measure - but do not follow website instructions Purchased for INSIDE MOUNTING and to replace existing Roller Shades (using the same Brackets mounting). This is the first of two reviews ordering the same Roller Shades to different measurements. If you follow the instructions and order the Roller Shades 1/8" smaller then the inside window width, the combination of the Mechanism Design, website direction, and the way the manufacturer cuts the shade will result in a actual White Material Width about 3/4" smaller then an existing Shade, and will most likely not really fit existing brackets. The design of the right-end shade roller pin (See Picture) is different then old shades, the ROUND PIN is on a spring plunger that moves about a 1/4" to allow for slightly off measurements. The problem is the measurements are cut with this plunger fully extended, and therefore does not function as intended. If the Manufacturer would cut the shades 1/4' longer AND you reduce the measurement 1/8" then the shades would most likely fit exiting brackets. See the 2nd review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from first disappointment... I often buy window coverings here, and am always pleased with the quality. I wanted a light blocking simple shade for my guest room, and purchased three of these. They came in, and since they are "cut to width" they were pre-cut at the specified length I ordered them. They looked as if my three year old had gone down the edges with scissors- horribly uneven and just complete cr@p. On top of that, the first day I had them, I was adjusting them to try to get them the same length, and the spring inside one of the rollers (or however it is kept taut) broke and one of them no longer rolls. I can keep it at the desired length by just rolling it manually then popping it in. If they weren't so dirt cheap, I would return. Its just not worth taking down from my windows and leaving holes where they were in order to do so. I plan on keeping them there for the light blocking aspect and throwing some cheap curtains over them to cover them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Blinds Was nervous about ordering these because of the problems some reviewers said they had with their blinds. I wanted to replace my slatted blinds because too much light would come through and it was impossible to watch TV during the day with the glare on the screen. I went ahead and ordered 3 of these for inside window frame installation and was happy when they all arrived in the size I ordered and the vinyl sides were cut even and straight. They came with all the necessary hardware and were easy to install. They do a great job blocking the light and beat messing with pull strings and wands. They also look much neater. The only thing I don't care for is that the sides of the vinyl do not reach all the way to the sides of the window frame by a little less than 3/4 of an inch on both sides. I ordered mine in the exact inside dimensions of my window frame. If I would have ordered any larger the roller would not have fit inside the frame. So if this will bother you I would suggest measuring for an outside installation. Once I hang some curtains it won't be as noticeable. They do come a little rippled from being rolled up but I think the heat of the sun will eventually help to smooth that out. I plan to cover my blinds in fabric to give my windows a custom look as soon as I'm finished painting the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has held up great over the years. I've had these blinds in my house for a few years, rolling them up and down every day, and they've held up great. I recently needed to buy two more, and bought them on clearance, so the price was even better than usual. The only downfall is that I purchased them online and had them shipped to the store. When I got them home from the store, one of the two blinds was bent, apparently from shipping and handling. This particular blind will not roll because of the damage. The other was fine. Because they were a clearance item I was unable to exchange it, because there were none left. I'm hoping more will be in stock sometime soon so I can exchange then, because I want the exact same thing, because it really is a great product and a great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great at darkening/keeping room cool I needed a shade because I have a very large window in my living room that reflects on my large flat screen TV. From where I sit it was like watching half a picture with the drapes reflected on the other half. I decided to do something about it so went to Penney's website. Great timing because shades were on sale. I ordered a lower end shade because it will not be up/down a lot. It arrived quickly, installation was easy, and it works quite well. I was amazed at the difference it made in viewing my TV! Had I known, I would have done this long ago! The weather has really heated up and the shade keeps it quite a bit cooler in here as well. I am a VERY happy customer!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shades are cut too narrow, quality could be better. This is the second set of roller shades I've ordered from JCP. The first ones were cut too narrow. Instructions on how to measure were followed, but the shades didn't arrive matching the measurement ordered. For this second set, I ordered the maximum width of my windows. This set is still cut too narrow. The shade is cut about 1/4 inch narrower than the rolling mechanism. Consequently, when the shade is pulled down, light shows through the side edge of the blinds. I ordered room darkening shades for a baby's room. Since the light shows at the edge of the blind, I have to pull the curtains over the shades to help darken the room. The shades are so flimsy that when I pull the curtains, the edge of the blind curls and I have to push it back up against the window to block light. Not easy to do while holding an infant. I would not buy these again and would not recommend them for total room darkening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality - not cut to ordered width. Shades were a great price and appear to be of decent quality however each one (we ordered 5) was cut 1 inch shorter in width than specified on the order. They ordered size was even printed on the packaging but not correct on the shades.

Can the length of these shades be cut too?

My window measures 73 1/2" x 38" so the length needs to be shortened.
Asked by: Judy
I DON'T KNOW IF THE LENGTH CAN BE SHORTENED. MY WINDOW IS only 36" LONG and the shade doesn't need to be shortened at all. It is FINE.

Thickness of shade

What is the thickness of these shades? I am looking for 12 mm thick shades.
Asked by: justmigrating
These are nowhere near 12 mm; they are closer to the thickness of heavy printer paper. Are you sure you're looking for something that thick? I've never seen that before.

Your width directions are unclear

By width, do you mean the width of the shade itself, the width of the roller minus the two stems that fit into the holders, or the width of the roller including the two stems?
Asked by: Anna
By width, they mean the overall width of the roller assembly including the two stems. But ignore their measuring instructions: the inside mount shades I received were all too narrow (and even narrower than I requested). To get the correct size, measure the inside width of the window frame and add 1/4 inch. Why this works: Each shade has a mounting stem with a spring-loaded plunger that lets the overall width of the roller assembly shrink by up to 3/8 of an inch. So, when you put up the shade, the plunger retracts and the assembly then fits correctly.
