Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I was very disappointed in these sheets. I have always used another Penney sheet but I thought it would be neat to have sheets that dry quickly and have no wrinkles. I bought two pair. These sheets fit the bill but upon the second use, a corner seam let go in one pair, which I returned. I was so sorry because the sheets look so pretty on the bed and dry so fast in the dryer. However, on the other hand, they had a strange odor I can't describe. Maybe like pizza?? Both sets had it. My husband's poor olfactory sense protected him from it, although he did notice some "odd" smell. When I put the only remaining pair of sheets on the bed, I noticed another corner that looked like it was going to let go. I'll keep it and see what happens but in the meantime, I'll go back to my Cindy Crawford sheets. They wrinkle but they're great. My mattress is only ten inches thick so that can't be the problem so my assumption is that it was poor workmanship. Not up to JCP's standards at all!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from want to love them but not durable for the first year, these were my favorite sheets, and I had vowed to only buy these in the future. they look nice, they're soft, they truly are wrinkle-free, they have deep pockets and fit a deep mattress better than any other sheet set I've ever owned. but I woke up the other night to the sound of fabric tearing as I pulled the covers up higher. in the morning, I found a tear about 6" long. I was going to fix them, but when I made the bed and carefully pulled a little more, the rip doubled. the material is so thin now that it's almost see-through (see my picture of the think spots and the beginnings of tears in the flat sheet draped over a desk lamp) I decided to retire them and turn them into rags. I was shocked at how easily they tore into small, rag-size pieces. I loved everything about these sheets, but now I don't think I will buy them anymore because they didn't last very long. some people may think a couple years is a long time to own a set of sheets, but I've never before used a pair long enough for them to become thin and tear so easily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fitted sheet shredded after 7 months I experienced 2 of the same problems as other reviewers. Bought a queen set of these sheets, along with extra pillow cases and some king cases for my big hugging pillow. First I found that using prespotter products according to package directions removed color from the sheets and left spots. Then about 7 months after we began using them a big hole appeared at the bottom of the fitted sheet. I went a step further than other reviewers and tried doing an iron on fabric patch, but the sheet was so thin that when next laundered, a big rip appeared beside the patch. I have a front loader washing machine that doesn't pull or twist the laundry, and I always launder sheets by themselves. So now I'm stuck with a top sheet and lots of pillow cases--what a waste of money. The ironic thing is the sheets I returned to using are another of JC Penney's brands, and I've been using them for almost 15 years!! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wrinkle-free white queen sized sheets need ironing! Just took my queen-sized white sheets out of the package and washed them before putting them on my bed. Spoiler alert--very wrinkled! Now I'm stuck with sheets that are every bit as wrinkled as the others i own. I think "wrinkle-free" label was erroneous. I have friends and family over to stay all the time and was looking forward to the convenience of crisp sheets. Not gonna happen, so be warned. Got them on sale so the pain of my purchase doesn't go deep, but if i paid $110 for the set, i would be livid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy.... I read the reviews before buying these but I had hoped that the positive reviews would be the outcome that I would have...so not the case. For those that think these are soft sheets and didn't consider these scratchy really must have been sleeping on very poor quality sheets to begin with. Trust me when I say these are very scratchy. I washed and dried them before putting them on my bed and half way through the first night of sleeping on them I had to remove them. They were VERY rough against my skin and I'm not too sensitive to touch. So now I have to take time out of my schedule to to repackage them and return them. The thing is I had actually purchased this same brand a few years ago and LOVED them. I don't understand why they can't just leave well enough alone. They always feel like they have to improve upon everything. Sorry for such a negative review, I just don't want anyone else to waste their time on these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soft Sheets - poor quality At first I loved these sheets! Bought the gold - loved the color. Very luxurious...........felt wonderful. Plus they are nice and deep which helps with our deep mattress. However that was about 7 months ago!! They did not hold up. They became thin and almost overnight had slits on both sides - my husband's side and mine. Looking closer I realized they had wore through. I always buy my sheets from JCP. ALWAYS. I have never had this problem with their sheets. These are not cheap in price. I was very disappointed and angry. I still have sheets as spares that I bought from JCP over 10 years ago and they are in better condition than these sheets. I actually patched them used the extra material from the pillow cases........they look awful but I am holding out until I find sheets that are deep enough and match my comforter I bought that goes with them from JCP.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Studio Sheets have changed and not in a good way I have just purchased my third set of these sheets. I was so excited to see the new reduced price. After getting them I am soooo glad I did not buy more than one. I am so disappointed in them. These are not the same wrinkle free Studio sheets from years past. The quality has gone way down. They stiching is poor, the sheets are a lot thinner and now in the front and back of the fitted sheet has an insert of some rough cheap material that substitutes for the matching material. The biggest thing is that the stiching is so thin and poor. They just look like cheap sheets. I am going to return them. Really sad because they have been my favorite sheets in years past. I don't recommend buying them unless you just want a value sheet that doesn't wrinkle too much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soft but not durable I was so happy with these sheets. They are so soft and deep pockets are wonderful. But...after owning them for a year they began to wear thin at the foot of my husband's side of the bed. Now I have to replace them due to a big tear in the fitted sheet. I've never had this happen, not even with cheap sheets. Very disappointed to spend that much money for quality for it to only wear out. I love the sheets and I'm very sad they didn't last longer.

Are these 100% cotton?

Not a blend, are they 100% cotton? Not sateen?
Asked by: SLAtransplant
They are 65% cotton and 35% polyester, which is what probably makes them wrinkle free. They are soft and comfortable to the touch.

I have read that some fabrics that are Wrinkle-Free are treated with formeldelhyde which causes skin cancer.
Asked by: Roseanne56
The textile industry has voluntarily lowered the levels of formaldehyde on garments by capping DMDHEU (the chemical used to treat cotton fabric) with molecular groups containing alcohol. All wrinkle free fabrics contain DMDHEU.

Do these sheets have the spandex ends?

I have a set of Studio Sheets that have a type of spandex on the ends. Are these the same sheets. I do not want the ones with the elastic banding.
Asked by: JustMe
Yes they do - In addition to elastic all around, it has panels at top and bottom with Spandex for better fit to mattress.

what is the difference in this product over the ultra fit; the fitted sheet. i had purchased a set about 3 yrs. ago and the fitted sheet has a thick

elastic band around it. is this the ultra fit. if so, I do have an issue with that since it is hard to unravel the sheet to get it on. i was wondering if the fit true would be better
