Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Pleasant Surprise! So many products these days don't do what they are supposed to... but this one actually did! Since my parents' phones didn't have a very good range (and they are always outside in the garden), we decided to give it a try. My 80-year-old, non-tech Dad was able to set the product up with no problems (he just followed he instruction manual), and now he and my Mom can answer the phone and enjoy chit-chatting from their garden. They are very happy and so am I. It was worth the money for sure! I would recommend giving it a try. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Product Does What it is Supposed to Do I needed 5 handsets in a wireless system. I have used Panasonic systems in the past and have been pleased with their features and service. So when I purchased the new telephone, I did get the 6.0 system as I felt the features would help me in now and maybe in the future. Well, the base station is in one extreme end of the house, and I was getting some issues with the handset in the other end of the house. Did some investigating and found out that Panasonic makes a range extender for 6.0 systems. Called customer service and they said--- yes, the range extender would work with my base station! Happy person!!! This piece of equipment has to the easiest piece of equipment that I have ever installed!! Set it up next to the base station for testing. Mounted it the rear of the house, plugged it in, had green lights and it was fine. Tried to see how far I got dial tone. Went out the Lanai in the rear of the house, towards the rear of the yard, and stopped at the edge of the lake. Would have got wet feet if I went any farther!! Still had dial tone. About 90+ feet from the base station. I would highly recommend this range extender!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product and does with it says well Excellent product and does with it says well. Gross improvement. Why doesn't the base simply do this?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, lousy instructions This little gadget works pretty well...once you get it set up completely. Both the included Installation Guide the animated "Deregister/Register" tutorial on this site fail to mention one important step: Once you get the extender registered with the base unit (as described in the Guide and tutorials) try to make a call from each handset which you expect to connect via the extender. Watch the lights on the extender when you make this call. If the handset connects with the extender the top green "Status" light should blink when the handset connects. If it does, you're good to go. If it does not, reregister that handset by removing the batteries from the handset. Reinstall the batteries and try making the call again. The green light should blink. I had 5 handsets with my two year old KX-TG6845 Panasonic phone. Initially only one handset recognized the extender without removing the batteries; the other four worked afterwards. I don't know why the one handset worked. Another weakness in the extender design is that after a power outage I sometimes have to do the battery bit all over. All the handsets recognize the base unit, but sometimes those connected via the extender lose that connection. Again it is odd that some of the handsets have to be reregistered while others don't, and the pattern varies from incident to incident.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect add-on to my KX-TGA680 system! This device did a super job of extending the range of my system. We are happy with the purchase. The item was shipped fast and packed right. My only advice to new buyers is to follow the instructions. You may have to punch the "Locator Intercom" button on your base station a few times till the amplifier is added to the network and both of the lights turn green. Be patient, the results are worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First ranger extender & I love it!! Got the extender so the phone base we put in my husband's shop would work better. You would almost think the base is in the house, that's how clear it is. The shop is a good 275 feet away from our home. This saves the expense of putting in another line. LOVE IT!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well Please read the review wherein the pairing instructions are clearly delineated. My experience was that the process required less than a minute to complete. The Extender allows us to send a strong signal past a brick wall. Now we can use our cordless telephone anywhere on our 1/4 acre lot, home and outbuildings. The clarity is outstanding. I use the Extender with a Panasonic DEC 6, model number, KX-TG47XX. It was NOT on the list of supported devices.
