Rated 3 out of 5 by Technology savvy Acetate
Fun, accurate, helpful, elegant appearance.. I love the look for the summer, but wish they had the Crystal Loop in the black band.for winter. The closure clasp is way too large on the Polar loop. I have a tiny wrist, therefore; between the clasp and the stiff face it's not flexible by any means and becomes uncomfortable at times because my wrist feels constricted especially when using a mouse at work. I think this device is made with a large wrists in mind. My Mother agrees it's not designed for tiny wrists, she has a loop as well. I love the features except it never syncs when I want it to. I have this issue constantly. I think another button for syncing would be better. It scrolls through but won't sync and if I press down too hard it turns it to airplane mode. I think it's way overpriced for its negative aspects. Polar has created an acetate device but is lacking in the comfort and syncing aspects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lschirer The Right Activity Band for My Activity
My philosophy on activity bands: Activity bands don't make you "fit." It's what you do with the information collected from the band that will help you get to your fitness goals.
When reviewing this type of product, I think it's important to provide a brief explanation of my fitness activity and fitness goals to provide perspective on why I went with the Polar Loop 2 as there are many alternatives with higher reviews from multiple sources. Fitness is a main part of my life, so researching the best activity tracker for ME was very important. I immediately thought of Polar when starting to research activity bands because they are a leader in heart rate monitoring equipment. Monitoring my heart rate was a leading reason of getting an activity band, not simply to track steps, be encouraged to be active, loose weight, etc. There are many activity bands that monitor your heart rate, but no band is as accurate as the chest strap heart rate monitor (I have the H7 chest band), based on my research as of today. I purposely wanted an activity band to pair with a chest strap heart rate monitor for the most accurate heart rate reading.
My fitness background: I compete in bodybuilding and have competed in power lifting. I lift weights on average 6 times a week from moderate to heavy sessions. During bodybuilding competition season, cardio for some is a big part of their cutting of weight process. I have found after a few years of experience, that controlling my weight by cutting food isn't as effective for me, so I have to include more cardio in my routine than I ever wanted to. Because of my loathing for cardio, I want to be the most efficient with my time and that is how heart rate monitoring will aid in this. I think the H7 heart rate monitor chest strap pairs very well with the activity band itself and the Polar Beat app (can show your heart rate on one or the other at a time).
I don't need the "social" aspects of an activity band such as the ability to see other's activity, be motivated, compare my activity to others, etc. This band has the "social" aspects with the Polar Flow app, but that wasn't my focus. I like that the Loop 2 picks up on smaller movements, which is important to me because when weight lifting, you often aren't making big strides when moving.
Reason I went with the Polar Loop 2 Overview:
1. Pairs with the H7 heart rate chest strap/band nicely for very accurate tracking
2. Picks up on smaller movements which is beneficial for people who lift weights
3. Overtime, becomes more accurate on tracking steps, which provides a more accurate reading on calories burned, etc.
4. I like the activity display: Time, Cals, Steps, Activity to go - job, walk, or being up
5. Airplane mode option
7. Decent app with useful statistics
8. Text and call notifications (I turned off)
9. Appearance - I have had the Loop 2 Crystal for about two weeks* (see below) and have gotten many compliments
10. Lights dim when battery is low
11. Crystals! (everything is better with crystals, in my opinion)
12. Water resistant
13. Battery life - just like other reviews, battery lasts about 4 days, which is fine to me. Charging is fairly quick as well, about an hour and half.
14. Monitors sleep activity
15. Pair with My Fitness Pal
*The negative: After doing much research, there were people that commented that some of the LEDs went out so I knew that was a risk in purchasing. Unfortunately, one LED went out shortly after receiving it and others started to dim after less than a week. I was extremely disappointed that I would have to deal with warrantying the band, but again, wasn't surprised based on other reviews. However, in this day and age, companies are are typically good at satisfying their customers, which is what I expected from Polar. I contacted Polar's support and confirmed my issue was under warranty and provided clear instructions on the warranty process. I returned the activity band, and was kept informed on the status and it was returned in less than a week. Even after only having the Loop 2 for less than a week, you grow kinda attached to it... So, I was very pleased on the quick, turn-around. BUT, when I got my Loop 2 back, the issue I sent it in for wasn't actually fixed. So, I contacted Polar again, and without hesitation, they corrected the situation to my satisfaction without any hassle.
I also read complaints about syncing the band with the app. I would admit it can take a couple of "refreshes" for the activity to display on the app, but nothing too cumbersome in my opinion. By watching the progress circle on your phone, this lets you know that the sync is still in progress rather than continuing to swipe your screen to refresh - have some patience. There can be a bit of delay from when you check your steps. For example, if you check your step count, then take some steps and check again, it may not display the steps taken immediately but refreshes the step count fairly quickly. Do you really need to watch your step activity while stepping on a regular basis???
In short, I would recommend this activity band if you are interested in heart rate monitor training and not if you simply just want to track steps. But if you want to tracks steps and have an attractive crystal band, than that works too. :)

Rated 3 out of 5 by KatBones Beautiful piece and it works great but...
Overall, it works great, I have no syncing issues, I can track everything and I like this piece better than other brands I've tried and stopped using but, I've had it less than a week and the lights in the band are starting to go out. After a week wearing it, not banging it, not doing anything that I should not be doing with it and the lights fail - disappointing to pay that cost and have issues already.
I would love to revise this review to 5 stars, this is exactly the type of piece I've been in the market for - it's beautiful but at least mine is flawed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Aileen Looks good but not all that functional
The product looks great but lacks alot of use. It says i have a message when i get a phone call and it gets stuck on calendar/email mode for some reason. The battery last for about two days. Wish i did more research on this product before i purchased it. I mainly got it for the look and style of it.

Very Comfortable compared to FitBit, but doesn't track exercise only steps, I guess since it doesn't track heart rate

Rated 4 out of 5 by Makin Daughter loves it
Likes it much better than her other tracker. Hit 9500+ steps first day. She may have me convinced to buy one. Gave it a 9 only because she has only had it for less than 2 weeks
