Rated 5 out of 5 by from A carry on bag that actually fits in the overhead luggage storage! For a recent trip, I wanted to carry on all my luggage rather than check any of it. This bag worked great and I had no problem fitting it in the overhead compartment on my United Airlines flight. In addition, the swivel wheels were very useful in rolling the bag around. I was able to carry enough clothing to get me through nine days of traveling since a washer/dryer was available to wash some clothes midweek. I'm really pleased with this purchase. “Sweepstakes Entry"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from design defeat Unless you want to be frustrated all the time, do not purchase this suitcase. I picked it based of three positive reviews. I bought this suitcase for a 2 weeks tour trip in Europe. I needed a medium size spinner because I was going to be moving from aiport to airport, tour buses, hotels, etc. I wanted to be comfortable carrying my suitcase. It was impossible to keep the suitcase from tipping over forwards. Even after trying numerous times to balance the weight and putting heavy stuff in the back of the suitcase, and using the straps, the suitcase still tipped. BTW, the suitcase's weight is almost 10lbs and the total weight was 32 lbs with my clothes in. So, I didn't overfill it. After observing all the other suitcases, I realized that the problem with this suitcase is that the wheels are too close together and towards the back. Therefore, there isn't support on the front of the suitcase. The only way it wouldn't tip was when it was completely empty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit 2 week vacation into this carry-on! I bought this for a 2-week vacation to Europe and was able to go through multiple airports and train stations easily. I used this and a small daypack and did not have to check any luggage. Easily fit into overhead bins on 4 different airlines and navigated through numerous large train stations with lots of escalators. Very happy with purchase!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not "Flight Worthy." This is a lovely piece of luggage, but when I took note of the specs for measuring, it did not include the wheels. The size is larger than the combined measurements of checked baggage for airlines. I returned the item and ordered the next smaller size. I was not refunded the "over-size item charge" of $10 on my return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy I had purchased the largest Protocol suitcase for a trip to Costa Rica. It worked wonderfully and the Spinner wheels were just what I needed for long jaunts through airports and security. I decided to purchase the next smallest bag to round out my suitcase stock as I have numerous non-matching bags of various brands-none with Spinner wheels. I believe I can get rid of all my non-matching bags now that I have a nice set. I love the bright red color. Since I am older, those Spinner wheels make traveling a lot easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I needed a new suitcase and wanted one with four wheels. This one fit what I was looking for. It came in 3 colors and it seems everyone traveling has black, which I was trying to get away from. I really like the gray. It looks very well made, all zippers work well and there are more compartments than I realized. Handling this suitcase is very easy and the wheels seem very sturdy. I am looking forward to using this one for future traveling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is bigger than it looked in the store I'm not complaining, but when I tried to bring the bag upstairs, my husband commented that when we go away, I had better pack this bag downstairs because it is so big that it will be quite heavy when it is full. It looks like a great bag if you don't want to drag 10 different little bags with you. Plenty of space and plenty of pockets. I am quite pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slick, Sleek, Slim, and Surprisingly Simple The wheels of this carry-on slickly move in all directions. This sleek, slim case fits easily in the overhead compartment. The simple design with many interior pockets will leave you surprised that you didn't buy it sooner.

Does the Protocol roll aboard suitcase have a "sleeve" on the back, that you can put over the handle of a bigger suitcase? Thanks!

Asked by: YBAVRG
It does not. We did drape a small duffel bag over its handle to sit on top but it did not have a sleeve so that this suitcase could fit over a larger suitcase.

Flying

I am getting ready to travel and I haven't been on a plane for a long while. Does this bag get considered a personal item or a carry on? Because I was hoping this bag could be stored under my seat and I could have a carry on to store in the overhead bin.
Asked by: StudentAbroad
I believe this bag can be considered your "personal item" on most airlines. It did fit beneath the seat when I flew with American Airlines this spring. I purchased this specific bag based on Spirit Airlines' teeny, tiny carry-on size requirements, but my flight isn't until July.
