Rated 1 out of 5 by Tracey Worst Design EVER
This is my third 9x13 glass pyrex with plastic lid - the first two were the "old" design: Straight sides that actually measure a "true" 9x13 on the inside of the dish and a plastic lid that fit on the outside of the dish and had a raised design so frostings and toppings did not stick to the lid - they were perfect! I broke one and the other one I loaned out and never got it back! (they were like the 4 qt dishes that are 10x15) So now my third one, does not measure a true 9x13 on the inside, the lid is flat and fits down inside the dish - so everything that is in the pan if it comes more that halfway up the inside gets stuck to the lid and is an absolute mess - I have had it for more than a year now and I get frustrated everytime I use it - I have looked for the old design everytime I go to a store - but none to be found - I REALLY suggest you go back to the old design which is like the 4 qt size that you show.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed Awkward design
I do not like this new design because the "handle" edges are very AWKWARD. They are awkward when it comes to maneuvering the dish in the sink, because the extended "handles" prevent the dish from fully fitting in the sink. When I maneuver the dish to wash, or rinse, it, I have to be careful not to bash the handle edges against the sink. It is also awkward to scrub inside the bottom of the dish because I don't want to put excessive pressure scrubbing inside the dish when its resting on its "handle" edge in the sink. My daughter also said that the handles make the dish look cheap. Go back to the former design. It was so much more functional. Or at least have the former design also available for purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5 by love to cook odd surface
I rec'd the 9" x 13" baking dish (along with others) during the Holidays. The surface of this dish has harsh ripples as well as a "hump" measuring approx. 4" across by 1/2" tall. I am asking for a replacement, since I have had no problems like this with any other of my pyrex. Some of my pyrex is 46 years old and were received as wedding gifts. Love to cook in SD

Rated 2 out of 5 by Shewolffe Cannot be used for baking a cake
I bought this so I could bring cakes to work for our monthly meetings. I had a regular old metal 9x13 with an ugly red hard plastic top BUT at least it worked. Every time I use this I cannot place the top on it because it will cause the frosting to stick to the lid when I remove it. So I end up stretching plastic over it. Why couldn't this have been designed better?? It is too shallow for baking cakes - I'm no baker and my cakes are not anything special, just regular out of the box cakes with frosting. You would think a brand like Pyrex would have seen this coming.

Always reliable PYrex for baking with the added convenience of a snap on lid. Prevents food drying in frost free fridge and prevents spill when taking food to functions. Lids are durable and hold up well to dishwasher.

The plastic cover makes this baking dish ideal for sharing recipes or casseroles. I like the lighter weight as well.
