Heavy clear pie plate. I love the edge. So easy to lift the hot pie out of the oven. I bought almost a dozen of these. I have the freezer filled with frozen apple pies. I allow the pie dish to sit on the stove top for about an hour then place it into a preheated 350 degree oven. In about an hour the pie is bubbling and the top crust is crispy and golden brown. I have not had one pie plate crack or break. The plate is nice and deep. It washes up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. This spring I hope to bake berry pies and freeze them for winter treats also. The empty pie plates stack neatly in a cupboard. I do place a doily or paper towel between the plates when I store them. These pie plates should hold up for many years with proper care.

I purchased my pie plate last year and I haven't stopped using it! I wanted to make large pies. I usually make a 10" two-crust recipe from my old-time cookbooks handed down in the family and this pan works great. It's easy to clean and makes a generous, eight-piece pie to serve my family and friends. I have also used it for breakfast bakes and have appreciated the generous amount of filling it holds.

I bought this 100 anniversary piece last October and only used it once or twice. It was stored under my oven and I found it broken into pieces. Very disappointed!

My Mother, who is now 90, still uses her Pyrex pie plate that she received as a wedding gift in 1947!

These came packed very well, with no damage. I ordered 4 of them. The ruffled edges are so dainty and easy to grip.

I love Pyrex pie pans and wanted this based on the wider lip feature as it does make it easier to turn while in the oven and lift out. However, the 9.5" width makes the pan too large for most recipes. Fruit pies turn out sloppy. With fillings like chocolate and lemon, you have to almost double the recipe to fill it. I will be looking for the standard 8-9" size and using this larger one for meat pies instead.
