Rated 1 out of 5 by from No replacement for blonde glam I've been a faithful user of blonde glam for many years and it never failed to disappoint, so I was gutted to see that it had been replaced by blonde idol however was more than happy to try it out after being told it was an improved replacement. Sadly I couldn't agree with this, firstly the scent, I loved the grapefruit and this is like a heavy perfume which I've gotten sick of the more I use it. I've also noticed it isn't as gentle and cleansing as glam was, idol feels like it's striping my hair of any goodness and leaves my hair tangled and needing more conditioner than usual (therefore I'm spending more!). I haven't noticed any improvement just more dull, I think the there was something in blonde glam formula that really lifted the highlights. Sorry redken, I love your products but I won't be buying this again and disappointed this passed the replacement test. Idol is a completely different product of its own, perhaps better for thick haired blondes, I don't know? Please bring back blonde glam!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I hate Blonde Idol and miss Blonde Glam! Tricia67 said it all, I have no more to say about Blonde Idol. :-( Please give us Blonde Glam back! It was the only schampoo that worked for my soft, thin, dull and dry hair and not gave me a greasy scalp. Blonde Glam is perfect when my hairdresser does highlights twice a year, nothing else takes that good care of my dry hair after the bleaching. I use Blonde Glam and Extreme serie to save the hair after bleaching and now I don't know what to use instead. :-( Have tried Clear Moisture (not enough mouisture), Curvaceous (hate the awful smell in every product!), All soft (to heavy and greasy) and Diamond Oil (don't like the smell and it's not that good) and Blonde Idol destroyed the hair completly, gave me the worst mess, the hair was like a bird's nest... And a really nice allergic reaction on the scalp from the Blond Idol Custom tone treatment (violet tone)! :-( Redken: please listen to your customers all over the world. We want and NEED Blonde Glam back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from what were they thinking! This stuff's awful, i tried to like this i really did, but i can't, its the worst shampoo I've ever used, i then tried EVERY other shampoo by redken, not one compares to blondeglam. it had a fresh grapefruit smell, i am sensitive to scents and this one was perfect, plus it really cleaned my hair(even my scalp) and left my hair shiny with volume and really brought out all my multitonal blondes. Blonde idol on the other hand, has given me buildup on my scalp, pimples around my hairline, my hair never feels clean, its weighed down, my highlights are suddenly grabbing all the minerals in my water and turning them green, my hair looks matte, i need to get it refreshed more often at the salon now. This NEVER happened with blondeglam. I'm now paying twice as much for blonde idol to have ugly hair. I'm done with redken until they carry blondeglam again.I feel whoever designed the blonde idol line, had no experience being a blonde ever, or they designed this line for hair so bleached out it needs a heavy non cleansing shampoo like this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not at all like Blonde Glam I have been a faithful Blonde Glam user for the past 8 years and was sad to see it go. But I was promised Blonde Idol was just like BG, just "enhanced." I don't like the "enhancements." I miss the grapefruit (extract) scent. Blonde Idol scent is okay, just not refreshing. I don't like the way my hair feels when I rinse out the shampoo. It feels like a nest of hay. I have naturally soft hair that tends to be dry. And this stuff left my hair dry and dull. Sorry, Blonde Idol, you don't get my vote. It's going back along with the Blonde Idol leave in treatment. I am in mourning for my Blonde Glam, but I'll be over it soon and will find a product elsewhere. Seriously, I don't understand why good things get retired. You want to add to the line? Great, do it. But to take something away and leave us with a second-rate replacement? Not cool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blonde Idol Smells Nasty -- Bring Back Blonde Glam Just as some others have said in their reviews, I have NEVER written a review online for any product until now. I've been using Blonde Glam shampoo for 8 years so was very surprised when I couldn't find it at Ulta. (Also couldn't find an employee on the floor to help me...) but saw Redken's Blonde Idol so opened the cap to smell it and it was NASTY! No way would I spend one penny on it, let alone the exorbitant price for a small bottle of Blonde Idol! I then came home to look online for Blonde Glam & am shocked that it was discontinued. After reading all of the negative reviews from others who actually bought the new Blonde Idol & tried using it, I am sooooo glad I had the wherewithal to check out the fragrance in the store! That saved me from spending my hard-earned money on what sounds like a very inferior product! Not only do I love the light fragrance of Blonde Glam shampoo but also loved my hair after using it. Furthermore, I always received compliments on my blondes while using Blonde Glam, even after two months had passed since my last color or highlight! No Blonde Glam = No Longer a Redken Customer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST IDEA EVER I just started coloring my hair at 26, last spring. I am a blonde by nature and loved how awesome blonde glam made my hair feel-the grapefruit extract is where its at! I can't find anything similar and like every other female with hair am so upset that blonde glam is replaced with blonde idol. A) I have a LOT of hair and need to be able to buy in bulk, at a decent price. B) the conditioner is horrible! I went through the "half" that is less coloring based (as directed) in less than a week! RIDICULOUS! Please bring Blonde Glam back or I will have to just trust that places like amazon have a legit product and continue buying it there, I just can't figure out why you changed your product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I purchased this product after finding they discontinued Blonde Glam. This product has a lot of conditioner and the scent is terrible. When I want this type of shampoo I will use my All Soft, which I love. I always alternated between Blonde Glam, (which smelled wonderful and brought out the golden highlights in my blonde hair) and All Soft, the perfect combination! I hope they bring back Blonde Glam, it had a wonderful, spicy scent, not such a "old and floral" heavy, fragrance like the Blonde Idol which weighs my hair down. I am so, so disappointed......

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not at all like Blonde Glam I live in a very humid climate and my hair gets frizzy and looks like a mess after 1 minute outside. I started using Blond Idol since it was a replacement to Blonde Glam and noticed my hair went back to its frizzy look where as Blonde Glam had tamed the frizzes. The smell was fabulous and I never had to redo my hair after I go to work. Luckily I found Blonde Glam at my local drug store and I have some haircare relief for a while. Please, please, please bring back Blonde Glam. If you want to sell it outside of salons that's OK; I just want to have access to it.
