Rated 5 out of 5 by from Think outside the box I tried the queen bedspread (not quilt) in the retro chic and it was too much stripes for me and it was so cumbersome heavy and big. So instead for my queen bed I bought the king size retro chic QUILT and turned it sideways. This enabled me to be able to cover the pillows like a bed spread would and still left even length on the sides and bottom of the bed. It fell to the same spot that the queen size would have on the sides/bottom. I like it better with the stripes horizontal rather than vertical as intended. That was my solution to the queen sized one being not quite big enough as the other reviewer said. The colors are bright and quality is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality No where near the normal standards I expect for this price-- was happy with prompt delivery and hoping unhappy reviews isolated. However, material does have an odor, stripes are very irregular and seams obviously do not match, sides are way too long for a normal bed (go to the floor on a high Queen Anne style), and material was caught in two seams right on the top causing a very obvious flap or pucker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so much we bought it twice! We bought one of these quilts six years ago and it held up really nicely. I wash it every other week because we have dogs who share the bed and the colors remained vibrant, the stitching never came loose, and it always looked new. The only problem with the original one we bought was it was a bit too small for our Cal King bed. When I read that JCP worked with the manufacturer to make the King sized quilt bigger, I decided to get a new one and retire the old one to our guest bed. I am very pleased with my purchase. Not only is it the same great quality as the original quilt, but it fits the bed quite nicely. No more middle of the night tug-of-war! Seriously considering getting this in one of the other colors so that we have a back up when one is in the laundry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caution: shrinks after cold wash I purchased the Full/Queen Quilt in Neutral. Great colors, nice weight, and also reversible. The reverse has lighter stripes. The original size is 88x90 but shrunk after a cold water wash & dryer to 82x83. The new size may work for a full but not a thick queen. Since the room is already decorated around this, I'll try the Full Bedspread and wash beforehand to get the coverage I need.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Colors are not consistent with picture - very disappointing Comforter is not the colors as described in the picture. They are darker and are not as neutral as they appear in the ad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Quilt I love my new quilt. I would have given Excellent overall except for the sizing. It only comes in full/queen, I need a true queenbecause I have a pillow top mattress, so it would look nicer if the sides were a bit longer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Review For Retro Loft (Queen) Bedspread My opinion of the Retro Loft Bedspread is mixed. Colors are good--just the color combination I was looking for, although in person, I feel the colors/stripes seem a little more bold and busy than they appear online. No noticeable fading after two washes. Weight is perfect--lightweight enough for our hot summers and probably warm enough for our generally mild winters here in Florida. Fabric is soft after washing. Workmanship/Quality--lacking and definitely not worth paying full price for. As several reviewers mentioned, the stripes are not matched very well but in the bedspread I received this was not too apparent unless I really studied the pattern. The stark white back looks somewhat cheap but acceptable for my needs, although I have bought several other quilts in this price range that had a coordinating pattern or accent color on the back. I feel the current sale (of approximately 40% off) is a more reasonable price for the mediocre quality. My main issue is with the sizing. Reviews regarding sizing were all over the place. Some said they were too small, some said they were too large, and some were just right. I was expecting a guest and wanted the Retro Loft QUILT for the king-sized bed in the guest room. However, the king-sized quilt was on back-order and would not arrive before my company came so I decided to order the queen-sized bedspread since its side-to-side measurement was only 6 inches larger than the king-sized quilt. Three inches more on each side was not that significant and would give me some wiggle room in case the bedspread was skimpy, or if it shrank when washed (which I fully expected). When the queen bedspread arrived, I put it on the king guest bed and it was absolutely HUGE. It easily touched the floor all the way around. Then I took it to the master bedroom and put it on the king bed in there that has a much thicker mattress and it still touched the floor. I even double checked the packaging to make sure I got a queen bedspread instead of a king bedspread and it very clearly said "Queen." Obviously, for it to easily touch the floor on two king-sized beds of different heights, the queen bedspread I got is much larger than the dimensions given online The bedspread has been washed twice and there was a good deal of shrinkage but now it's too short to use as a bedspread and it's still way too long to use as a quilt (with a bedskirt). I think I'm going to try to attempt to cut it off and shorten it. Even though I'm not an accomplished seamstress, it couldn't look any worse than it does now. The queen bedspread was much too big for my king bed yet the 9/11/13 review below by "cobrajet" said the king bedspread she got was way too small for her king bed. It would appear quality control regarding consistent sizing is lacking so I wish you lots of luck trying to pick a size that will fit your bed adequately.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fell apart after first washing Bought the quilt in June and washed it for the first time today (November) and have multiple tears (some up to a foot in length) where the seams ripped out.. Guess I'll try to return it but what a hassle. Very disappointed in the quilt.

Reverse side

What color or pattern is on the reverse side?
Asked by: Babs
No, not true. I have 5 of these. It is striped on one side, but all 5 of mine are the orange (rust) color on the reverse.
