My new puppy chewed through the (unplugged) cord of a competitor's - a Shark - iron I adored. My husband promised he'd replace the cord, but after 40 years I've learned that when he says "when I have a free minute" it doesn't necessarily mean any time soon. The mound of his and my sons' shirts and my quilting projects would become unmanageable if I didn't get a new iron, and soon. Figured I'd give Rowenta a try and see what everyone's talking about in terms of the company's reputation for creating a great product.
Ironing one cotton shirt in particular proved that the Rowenta name could easily replace the Eco Intelligence's now presumed permanently disabled competitor's in my household. If it's never repaired...and it's already been 3 months...I no longer care. Not only does this new iron produce a steady and effective steam and its nifty point get into difficult spots, but it has just the right heft, a long enough cord, and settings to suit all my needs. That it's actually pretty to look at, well, that's just a plus.
I don't foresee replacing this winner any time soon. The cost of this iron is high enough, but not unreasonably so for a truly great product, that I will be sure to keep its cord up and away from that troublemaker of a puppy of mine.

I owned this iron for about two days. I found it to be cheaply made and in my opinion it's the worst one Rowenta has ever made. The steam lever is made of some weird material and it is very loose and floppy. The closure to the water container was also made some strange material and it wouldn't shut completely. After I returned it, I read on other sites about that piece breaking off. I bought a different model but same brand after I returned this. I have been very happy with the new one. (Blue one....Steam Force).

I purchased a Rowenta eco intelligence iron. I would recommend this iron for anyone it is very efficient. I had a rowenta for about 15 years and wanted to upgrade. I gave the old iron to a friend and she was very happy with it. So, if you haven't upgraded your iron , do so now, you will not be unsatisfied.
I had a promotional coupon I got mine at a great discount. I have had this iron for a couple months and am still quite satisfied.

Never thought I'd love an iron, but this one is terrific!! I've been ironing for over 50 years, so I speak from experience. I appreciate having the constant flow of steam. You just know it is going to do a terrific job when you start using it. What could be better than being able to order a first class product through the web. Thank you JC Penney.

This iron is so, so sleek! The steam options are very handy and the overall handling is great. Cord is long and well placed and the balance is very good.

This iron is fantastic. What I like the most is that it has constant steam. It has a great design, and 400 steam holes, which is what a good iron should minimally have. Very happy... makes ironing fun!

Replaced a 15 yr old Rowenta, that had started to leak. Have used this iron 2 times and am very happy! The speed at which the wrinkles disappear is so much faster than my old iron!!!
