  • Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful iron! I don't like to iron and didn't realize why I didn't like to iron until I tried out this Rowenta Focus Steam Iron. With my previous irons, water would drip and I would be afraid to iron white items for fear that brown liquid would drip onto them. Because of this, I stopped trying to iron with steam and instead used tons of starch and an iron with the steam function turned off. Fast forward to the Rowenta Focus Steam Iron. When I took this iron out of the box, I couldn't believe how heavy it was. It heats up really fast and you only need to go over a section once or twice to get the wrinkles out with steam. I don't need starch anymore. This iron has made such a difference in my ironing routine that I actually don't dread the chore anymore. I would have given it 5 stars but I felt it should have a retractable cord and that the instructions should have written words. The instructions only have pictures and although some say "a picture is worth a thousand words", for me, I feel that words in addition to the pictures would make the instructions more clear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great helper! Well, I can start that I already have another Rowenta iron and I really like that so I already was expecting from this iron same and better performance as from old one. One this is bad - it still not ironing itself :) Other than that it's great - very fast warm time for highest setting, not dripping water (yet) as my old iron. Great for long use (I ironing once per week and I have many items on the list to be ironed). I did have it for few weeks and each time it works great, hard to say better or not as this is iron, you know, you can't see how it operates unless it's broken. Overall I really like that, it has narrow nose to help with ironing around buttons. Steel plate is great, I've never had one before, only ceramic but this one is works great for me so I will change my mind about this part for sure. I would recommend it for mid to heavy use ironing, based on how it operates so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saves me time because it is ready in seconds with jet steam! Ironing is not one of my favorite things to do. I have an ironing board, but for quick ironing jobs I put a heat resistant ironing mat on our bed and iron there. This iron is quite heavy and works great on the ironing mat. It heats up quickly and is ready to use in seconds. If I need steam, it is easy to fill and I can see how much water has been added and is left. I generally iron when items are still damp right out of the dryer and the steam can be turned off if not needed. This iron sets securely when not in use and the bottom where it sets does not get hot at all, which is great since when I iron on the mat, I set it on my dresser. I like that I don't have to worry about it damaging any surfaces. The swivel cord is a great feature!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rowenta Iron - would buy again in a heartbeat! The iron looks fantastic. It is heavy and not cheaply made. The iron plate is thick and has many holes for steam. The steam feature is on of the best options on it! Steams quicker and better than any iron I have ever owned. Presses creases in pants/shorts precise and perfectly! Has all kinds of settingstuff for just about any material as well as steam settings. Holds quite a bitime of water so you are not constantly filling and it does not leak water! I am amazed at how wonderful this iron is. The only thing I wished the iron had was a cord keeper or a way to wrap the cord. But, I can get past that with how great this works to iron and steam our clothes! It's super easy to use, directions are easy to follow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend this iron I love the sleek design of this product and the heavier weight actually gives it more stability than other irons I have used that have been prone tip over and leak water everywhere. I didn't think I would like the bottom as it is not teflon coated, however, if used at the proper heat setting, it is actually quite smooth and glides easily over the fabric. The iron heats quickly and is ready with steam to use in less than one minute. I think it's a great value as well compared to other similar products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this iron! This is definitely a must have iron! I iron all of the time, have gone through many irons over the years, some cheap & some not, & this iron is probably the best I'm ever used. It is very simple to operate. Has a bigger area to add water than others I've owned. The pointed tip is by far my favorite about this iron. It gets in small spaces, like between buttons wonderfully! The reason I only gave 4 stars on design is because I wish it had a retractable cord instead of a wrap around cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely recommend to anyone! I needed a good iron due to the fact I have to iron my husband's work clothes daily and wow I never knew what I was missing until I decided to try this iron! It is very fancy looking, but the best part I love about the iron is it is so simple to use! I don't have to keep going over the same spots over and over again, I am so in love! Thanks for making my life so much easier!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like but not in love To begin with, I was sent this particular model to evaluate. Immediately, right out of the box I had already noticed some issues. For one, if you have large hands, like myself, you will find in quite difficult to wrap your hand around the handle. The back of my hand scraps the heat adjustment knob on the main housing. And speaking of the knob, although it has many wonderful adjustment settings, it's almost impossible to know what you're turning the setting to. The knob is a beautiful copper-gold but the text they used white, which makes it nearly impossible to see combined with it being practically covered beneath the handle. What I did find rather wonderful was the narrow tip at the front of the iron. It made it incredibly easy to iron between blouse/dress shirt buttons. It heats up incredibly fast (not so slow to cool, though) and does a terrific job on cotton and cotton blends. With one of my husband's shirts in particular I used to curse him, the shirt and the manufactures for making so difficult to iron, but this iron did do a terrific job. If you're a steam-a-holic, like me, this iron will make you very happy. I accidently set it on full-steam and in my small ironing area it became a mini sauna. Downside, full steam only last about three shirts or two facials, whichever comes first. However, the hole for the water is a bit cumbersome to pour water into. Lastly, the top two buttons for extra stream and spray attached at the main handle are both a pro and a con for me. If you don't have much strength in your hands, these buttons will prove difficult to use. They take a bit of pressure to use, but they feel incredibly solid.
