Rated 5 out of 5 by spotandjudy WOW! Really easy to use!
My husband has to wear dress clothes to work that need pressed. My elderly father (that we help) likes ALL of his shirts, pants, shorts, and hankies pressed. I KNOW that it would be quick and easy to take them to the cleaners, but really that costs me time and money. Plus, I like to be able to do chores when I can fit them in. I do have to say that I generally hate to iron, but this iron was really easy to use, worked great, and worked great. My only complaint would be the design....I guess I am just used to how my old iron felt in my hands, it will just be something I would have to get used to with the new one. No real complaint, but you do get used to using something and have to get used to using something new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KC the cleaner Awesome Product - would recommend to anyone!
Performance is out of this world! The iron is amazing as it moves over the clothes and the bursts of steam are even. My old iron would have taken more then a few minutes to get warmed up and when finally warm I would have to make several passes to get that nice ironed shirt look I enjoy. With this iron, it takes about a minute or two to warm up. Its an amazing product and I think it would replace any iron currently being used - put it to the test!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marty McFly Quality Product
I've always thought, ".. an iron is an iron. Why would anyone pay that much for an iron? I can buy this 15 buck iron and it will do the same thing!" WRONG! This iron is amazing. It heats up fast. The steam penetrates deep into the fabric. It will NOT leave behind a wrinkle. With it being a smart iron, it senses when to stop steaming. This not only conserves the water, but conserves power as well! It is a heavy iron. But that is not necessarily a bad thing. It has a professional feel to it. It just glides over any fabric. Yes, it is a bit pricey. Pricey, but so worth it. I am a stay at home mom to 4 kids (and a husband). I do LOTS of ironing. This iron takes the stress out of it. This iron makes ironing FUN! You need this iron in your life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terry Terrific Iron
This iron is terrific. I make crafts from different types of fabric and it gets wrinkled very easily from storage and really sets in creases on the folds. The Rowenta Steamforce iron gets all the wrinkles out with hardly any work at all from all types of fabrics. It heats up very quickly and irons out the wrinkles the first time which really makes ironing easy and fast, you do not even mind ironing. It has 400 holes for steam so it gives a very even steam distribution. I like that it uses tap water, but it does need to be refilled often. I have not had it long, but it is well built so it should last a long time. I highly recommend it, it is so much better than any iron I have ever owned before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The Polite One Now I love ironing!
For the most part, I will not skimp on the purchase of a tool that makes tasks in my life easier. I also like to take the easiest route to accomplish a goal. After all, life is short, so why waste time. Ironing is one of those tasks that I will try to avoid because it typically takes too much time and the results aren't always great. However, I detest wrinkles. Dilemma! Luckily for me, I had the chance to try the Rowenta DW5080. Honestly, it is the best iron I have ever had. Before now, I had no idea that I had much of a choice in irons. I figured all were designed the same-cheap, light and basic. Thus, I chose the least expensive like the Black and Decker I have now. And, like all the others I owned, it requires me to do more of the work. I have to press down on it while going over the same wrinkly spot multiple times. Whereas with the Rowenta, I simply fill it with tap water, choose the correct setting (yes, it even has a silk setting) and glide it across the wrinkly item. One of the major differences with the Rowenta and all the others is the burst of steam option. Since I take the easiest route to accomplish a goal, I also use "hemming tape" when hemming large items-I detest sewing. Instead of having to cover my over-long drapes with a wet towel while I pressed down with all my strength as usual, I used the burst of steam to power through the job. My heavy drapes are perfect! I have never had such success with any of my old irons. I would definitely purchase a Rowenta when this one dies. Nevertheless, this one will probably outlive me. It is heavy and well-made. I love it so much that I recommend it to all my friends and family. My husband is happy as well since now I iron all of his shirts. I even took the wrinkly shirt off his back this morning to iron. Rowenta makes ironing fun!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Riya Biswas Great but a little heavy
This is the 1st time I am using a Rowenta product, I must say that this is one of the best irons I have ever used in my life and I have used at least 5 iron brands. The Rowenta SteamForce Steam Iron glides on very efficiently on clothes and heats up extremely fast, but it is pretty heavy. As the iron is on the heavier side I find it difficult to keep on ironing with it for more than 10 minutes at a stretch without getting a wrist ache. But if I do not consider the weight of the iron this is the absolutely best one, especially the tip of the iron gets between all the buttons very nicely, without ripping the buttons off. It even gets into the small pleats on my husband's office pants with ease. I have used it on cotton shirts, pants, on my silk dress and even on linens and every time the iron did a perfect job at removing creases. I really like the option where I can spray water directly on the clothes, it comes handy when there is a stubborn wrinkle. The amount of steam that comes out from the iron is also pretty immense which is why gliding it over the fabric once is enough, I do not have to repeat ironing in a particular place. I use tap water for ironing, so after a while, we get deposits inside the water tank and the near the holes, the self-clean button on this iron would be really useful for removing all the deposits from the iron. Also, I like that the wire of the iron is pretty long, really helpful when the sockets are really far and I do not have to worry about toppling the table while I iron because I cannot go the farthest end of the table. The Last thing is that the Auto shut off is a good addition for people like me who multitasks, I often find myself cooking, cleaning and ironing at the same time and even if I forget to turn off the iron I won't be burning down the house. Overall I am really very impressed with the iron and would be using it as long as it lasts. I received a sample of the product for free in exchange for my unbiased and honest opi
