by MkdJCPShopper Absolutely Wonderful.... I OWN TWO!!!!
I have had this fan actually 2 of them for about 9 months now. In fact, the reason I am writing a review today is because I had been dreading having to take them apart so that I could clean the cage(s) and the fan blade. But, oh my gosh it was so incredibly simple. I have been so very pleased with these fans. They are very attractive and made of good sturdy metal and plastic. The fan is virtually as quiet as it states, except when it's on turbo, but that's not even that loud, seriously, not like the other stick fans on the market. This is well worth the co$t. The only draw back is that the control pad located on the fan has a bright blue light (that is annoying by the way), but we've just snipped off a little piece of black electricians tape and covered it, and you can't even tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BarbraJean You get what you pay for...sometimes.
In this case, it is true that you get what you pay for. I bought two of these fans and am glad I did because it seems to go on backorder quite often.
The fans run quietly; the only time you can really hear it across a room is in Turbo mode. But even that is not an annoying sound--it is a steady hum with no squeaking or rattling. One of my fans sounds a bit louder in Turbo than the other but I think that is because one sits on bare floor and the other on carpet.
The remote is responsive from all the way across the room and operates the most important features: Fan on/off, speed up/down, Turbo on/off.
I hope that buying a fan of this quality for a change has eliminated my needing to replace fans every season or two--plus this thing blows way across the room and I have never had another fan that could do that without sounding like a freight train. And being a floor ran with height adjustment this fan can be placed where you need it most even if it is not a convenient place for a table.
I am happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CouchPotato Perfect for the couch potato & lap dogs
Normally I would not spend this kind of money on a fan. But my old one died and it was late in the season, so the stores were out of Pedestal Fans, and we were in a hot spell. It's a heavy sturdy fan with excellent base. We are enjoying the remote control. A feature my lap dog enjoys because I don't have to toss him off in order to turn on/off the fan.

The fan works great and it is so quiet. You just can't beat German engineering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beverley01 A simple cure !!!!
Perfect to circulate air though the living room area. We have air conditioning and also 18 foot ceilings. I have positioned the fan to draw down the air from the vent. Having a remote to control the speed is simply a plus. Turbo silence what a deal. We are very pleased with the Rowenta . I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dingo Finally A Quality Fan
First off let me state how solid, and heavy this fan is. No wobble here. It's very simple to put together, and if you've ever put a pedestal fan together before, you won't need instructions. The blades spin quietly, evenly, and powerfully. The remote that comes with it is icing on the cake. Aside from the normal 3 speeds, there is a "turbo" speed that I love.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jazzlover16 Too Expensive
I do like that the fan is quiet on the first setting but the other settings it's not super quiet not that it's real loud I guess I expected it to be quiet on all of the settings. When you turn fan on there's a light I don't like that because when I turn my light off at night the light eminate and it's a distraction. I was just surprised that there wasn't a timer on this fan for as much money as it cost. Too pricey I could have just purchased a fan that is just as quiet but less expensive.
