Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for...sometimes. In this case, it is true that you get what you pay for. I bought two of these fans and am glad I did because it seems to go on backorder quite often. The fans run quietly; the only time you can really hear it across a room is in Turbo mode. But even that is not an annoying sound--it is a steady hum with no squeaking or rattling. One of my fans sounds a bit louder in Turbo than the other but I think that is because one sits on bare floor and the other on carpet. The remote is responsive from all the way across the room and operates the most important features: Fan on/off, speed up/down, Turbo on/off. I hope that buying a fan of this quality for a change has eliminated my needing to replace fans every season or two--plus this thing blows way across the room and I have never had another fan that could do that without sounding like a freight train. And being a floor ran with height adjustment this fan can be placed where you need it most even if it is not a convenient place for a table. I am happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Pedestal Fan The fan is quiet, powerful, heavy (solid), looks nice, and we use it daily to keep us cool. Its appearance is quite different than normal pedestal fans. The fan works very well, moves air and is very quiet. The wire metal fan protector rusts. Mine started rusting within three months of purchase, and now looks horrible

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rowenta Standing Pedestal Fan My bedroom is the warmest room in our home. I have windows well covered - but - the warmth is still uncomfortable. My previous standing fan was OK - but was 5 years old and I knew I needed to replace the unit. I am so glad I made this choice! This fan is silent - totally on the low speed. Now, when you increase the speed - you do hear the speed of the fan - but still much less than the average fan. I also own a Rowenta Iron - which I love and that is one reason I decided to buy the fan. The Quality can not be matched!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fan This is the best fan I have bought yet, and I have bought many. This one is heavy enougy, sturdy enough, powerful enough, easy to assemble, and quiet. It is more expensive but seems to be worth it. I bought two -- one for bedroom and one for office. Much quieter than other fans and also much easier to move around -- heavy enough so it doesn't tip, and it is fastened to base very well so it doesn't come apart when moving like most others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new favorite appliance. This is the mother of all fans in my opinion. I say this, because it's the truth. From the ease of putting her together, to turning her on. It took me about 10-15 min to put her together. It goes together like any othe stand up fan. This is the tallest fan I have ever had, so it keeps my husband from hogging all the air. It's really quiet, but offers the white noise we need at night to sleep. The color is a pewter, so it matches and blends in with most decor. I will say she's a bit heavy. The base is really stable, the only fan feel comfortable with my kids going around. The one thing that stands out to me is the control panel. I have never seen a fan like this. I love this brand's irons, but I have feel in love with this fan. Oh did I mention the air it pushes out??? I am in hot Georgia and it magically finds cold air to blow. And she has a tilt turns upwards to help with that hot air that rises. I lI've demos testing the power this baby puts out. I will definitely like to buy one for my downstairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor warranty I bought this fan as was rated for being so quiet. It worked great for three months and then we had trouble with it giving off a humming noise on low speed. We used this fan every night in our bedroom and had to ship it back for warranty as the humming noise was to loud and keep us awake. I sent the fan back in Nov. and they finally received it in Jan. They had sent me the wrong shipping label and it got lost in the mail. I phoned to enquire where the fan was at least fifteen times but was always told they would phone back which they never did. Finally on my last phone call they found the fan and I was assured by a manager named Meredith that he watched the tech fix the fan as the motor was loose and that the problem was fixed and the fan was on its way back to me. I received the fan a week later and as soon as I put it back together and started the fan I could still hear the same humming noise. My wife had company over this day and I called them all over to see if it was just me that heard the noise. Not to my surprise they all said that they could hearing the humming noise and that it was irritating. I guess that Rowenta thought I had nothing better to do than buy their fan and ship it back to them as nothing was wrong with it. When we received the fan back there was an invoice inside the box that was signed by the tech who had apparently tightened the motor (so says the manager) .He wrote that he could find nothing wrong with the fan and shipped it back to me. I would never deal with this company again as with all the phone calls I made I just wanted a new fan sent as the problem didn't start until three months after we had the original fan, but no I had to wait three more months for them to tell me that apparently I'm hearing things and that their fan is fine. They must have a very noisy area the techs work in as not to hear the noise the fan made. Now I have a fan that I can't even giveaway. Gary Lacey

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Wonderful.... I OWN TWO!!!! I have had this fan actually 2 of them for about 9 months now. In fact, the reason I am writing a review today is because I had been dreading having to take them apart so that I could clean the cage(s) and the fan blade. But, oh my gosh it was so incredibly simple. I have been so very pleased with these fans. They are very attractive and made of good sturdy metal and plastic. The fan is virtually as quiet as it states, except when it's on turbo, but that's not even that loud, seriously, not like the other stick fans on the market. This is well worth the co$t. The only draw back is that the control pad located on the fan has a bright blue light (that is annoying by the way), but we've just snipped off a little piece of black electricians tape and covered it, and you can't even tell.

Does this fan have a stationary position or does it always oscillate? Thanks
Asked by: Kathy
You just pull a button on the fan to stop oscillation. The remote doesn't have a way to stop and start oscillation -- you can only change it at the fan.
