Rated 5 out of 5 by 393GPA This rod is quality as one would expect from Royal Velvet
This rod is beautiful, and the color is rich with a dark brown/bronze finish which adds to its overall appearance. It's construction is excellent, and the finials are exquisite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SunBun Overall pleased
The rod came with ends that screw into the rod. I was pleased with overall quality, with one exception. Despite being packed in Styrofoam, one end cap had a chip on one side. I was able to make it work, by not displaying the chipped side. I'm sure the company would have swapped the product, but it was more convenient for me to use after all the hardware was already mounted and ready to go. The rod's color is less golden and more brown/bronze.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sjv1 It's all in the pursuit of this product!
I LOVE the pineapple finials and so it was important to me to purchase this product. Unfortunately, as other reviewers warned, the product is fragile and originally came in with broken finials. I had to send it back and re-order. The next set was fine! If it is important to you to have the style, then do pursue a purchase until you get an unbroken rod. The price for the rod was on sale at the time of purchase, and I really got a great deal for a rod that was 86"-120". In the end, it was worth the trouble of re-ordering to really get what I wanted. In addition, I want to commend J C Penney on hiring excellent salespeople in their window coverings departments. I have ALWAYS had knowledgeable people to consult when purchasing curtains and drapes through the years both in CT and in my current location of SC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaidinHawaii Beautiful and substantial
Beautiful color, as pictured. Finials are substantial: 3" in length, 2-1/2" in diameter. They complement our bedroom chandelier and pineapple-theme very well. Royal Velvet extension rod in "same" antique bronze finish is not a perfect match (extension rod has gold specks; Ashford rod is a solid satin finish), but from a distance and with the curtain panels on, the difference is not noticeable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by marie1280 Arrived damaged
The problem could have been the shipping, packaging or product, but two of the six finials arrived damaged. Luckily the damage could be hidden by making sure it was facing the wall. On the longer rods, there is a white ring where they expand which can be visible depending on how you space them. All that aside, I'm very happy with how they look and would order them again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by aubreymace Love the look of these curtain rods
originally I had planned on buying a traditional pineapple curtain rod, but I am glad I went with these instead. They still have the traditional look to them to go with my 1920's home, but they also are just different enough that they set the room off. Plus the price on sale was very good!
