Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Matelassé coverlet. Years ago, I purchased a 100% cotton matelasse coverlet which I loved and which lasted for 20 years. I wanted to find a replacement, but couldn't find anything locally. I ordered two different sets online but ended up returning both as they were a cotton/polyester blend which felt cheap to the touch. Although the Royal Velvet® Coralie Damask Matelassé Coverlet from J.C. Penney is also a cotton/polyester blend, the quality was far better and has a wonderful feel. And with the discounted sale price, it was a great value so I ended up also ordering a valance, two accent pillows, a pillow sham and bed skirt as well. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was everything I hoped it would be - whew! I love this coverlet! It is very well made, soft, generously sized - even for my thick king mattress, and the Seamist color looked like I hoped it would (more on that later). Before ordering, keep in mind a coverlet is much, much thinner than a quilt, but thicker than a sheet. Kind of like a heavy tablecloth. SEAMIST - IS IT BLUE OR GREEN? Well, it's both, depending on the amount and type of light in the room and who you ask! My husband and one son immediately said "blue" while another son at the exact same time blurted out "green!". I notice in the morning under natural light alone it appears a light silvery blue, but in the late afternoon and evening under dim lamplight it starts to look medium green-blue unitl I turn on my very bright overhead light where it shifts to medium silvery blue. Before I ordered, I was hoping it would be mostly light silvery blue, but knew it would have some green in it and I was sort-of okay with that. I took a gamble and I'm very happy I did. I'm painting my room a very pale blue-gray which I think will emphasize the blue in the coverlet over the green.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft to the touch, light weight, good for sale I got it with. This is lighter weight than I expected, but I did not buy it for warmth as much as for appearance. I purchased the bedskirt as well, and the look together is very nice. It's soft to the touch and has a subtle kind of elegance. The only thing I was not truly satisfied with is the look of the scallop edge. It lacks body, looks a little bit floppy. But overall I am satisfied.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice, but very thin. This is okay. It's nice for just a coverlet. It is very thin and lightweight, so if you are expecting something more, don't get it. I just received it, so I can't comment on how it washes or endures, but it looks fine. This is for a guest room and won't get much use, so it was fine for my purposes. I can't rave about it, but it's satisfactory.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very well made. I bought this and when I opened it I question how well it was made and then washed it and the stitching along the edging started coming out. Very light and I wasn't expecting that at all. Not Happy with it at all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a beautiful coverlet! Wanted something light on a guest bed. Found this on sale & thought I would try it. Looks lovely! Already washed once & it looks as good as the day I bought it. Would definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful I ordered the Blue and Yellow for my mother in law's house. They are both really nice and I love the simply tone on tone design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coverlet I had a very similar spread which I loved and it shrunk when it was washed. This is a replacement and it fits the bed well.

Is it light weight? I want a summer coverlet for my bed that is not too heavy.

Asked by: jdt02a
Yes, it is perfect for summer, and it is also very nice over an electric blanket in our cold, New England winters.

What is included in this bed set? Is it just the bead spread, or does bed skirt, pillow shams, and decorative pillows come with the set?

Is the entire set (bedspread, pillow shams, decorative pillows, and bed skirt included in the price?
Asked by: Mamm
It's a coverlet with nothing else included. The photo shows the length on my king size bed very accurately for the foot space. The long sides (not pictured) are slightly shorter than the foot side. I use it with a bed skirt to hide items stored under my bed and complete the look. .

Is 100 x 96 the correct measurement for the king? Most Royal Velvet products are 110 x 96.

Asked by: MamaDon
It looks wonderful on our king size bed. If you are looking to tuck in pillows at the head of the bed, you might want something longer.
