Rated 3 out of 5 by from You Get What You Pay For These were on sale/clearance when I purchased these. I purchased these to replace my old sidelight panel curtains. I like that they cover these sidelight panels, but also bring in light. They are not "velvet" in feel, but are decent quality. They do cover the entire length of my windows, but run short thereafter, so we had to "adjust" our holders on both ends. I ordered Gray, but it looks almost blue. I'm most unhappy with the color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks nice, creates privacy I placed these over my 9" side door panel windows. From the outside you can't see anything, which is great. From the inside, light shines through but it's still thicker than those typical sheer ones. It irons well but it would be better if it were pleated. It's hard to hang the curtains with the same pleated symmetry as seen in the product picture. Overall, decent product. See attached pictures.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Misleading description Item picture shows both side windows however unless you read into the description carefully you don't realize that this is just for one window. Disappointed in that but the quality of the product is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from exactly as described I love these sidelight curtains. They are dark brown on the one side and beige on the other so it blocks just the right amount of light while adding privacy. perfect fit too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does the job This item is not exactly what I expected. I realize there are very few products designed for sidelights. I previously had Lissette Sheer panels on my door. They were really outdated and transparent. The Royal Velvet panels are lined and give privacy. However, you can see the white liner through the colored panel. I thought they would be more opaque as indicated in the description. I ordered the brown, and while don't really let much light in, the white backing on the panel and liner prevent the color from being as rich as I thought it would be. I would not pay full price for these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These panels fully met my expectations These panels look nice and they have a backing which provides privacy from the outside, yet the daylight filters through. These look so much nicer than sheers and are more practical. I also like the fact that they are washable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, pretty & privacy! Great quality. These will help with privacy along with keeping cold air out this winter. Love the color too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! These are perfect for the side windows on my front door. They are lined so they block out the heat. The temp on my landing was so hot I couldn't stand it. What a difference! Love it!

How do I hang these?
I'm wondering how I can hang these. Is it possible to use a tension rod, like when you hang a shower curtain? I'm renting a house and I'd prefer not to have to punch holes anywhere.

Answer:
You can get magnetic rods (most sidelights are metal). I've used magnetic ones for years because when I've had French like back doors & our cat tries to lay in the bottom like a hammock, they pop right off & doesn't hold her weight, therefore I avoid having my curtains ruined by toenails & avoid a lot of cat hair on my curtains. Plus they're great for rentals because you don't have to drill & patch holes. I've also used the stick up blinds in rentals, they work pretty good too. FYI, we're a military family.

Answer:
If your sidelights are as narrow as mine, the only solution is to use JCPenney rods meant for this space as I did. Unfortunately, that means drilling holes. Holes can be patched when you move. I have no idea if there are tension rods that narrow, but if your sidelights are wider, then maybe. Good luck.
