Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product did not meet my expectations Bought along with the panels - the valance didn't hang any better than the panels and I was extremely disappointed. Returned the items to a local store immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Valance I ordered 3 of these valances in the color Claret. One of the valances that came was a totally different version of this curtain. It was a different color red and also had gold in the embroidered trim and the other 2 did not. I was so frustrated over this. It was packaged and appeared that it had possibly been a return and probably an older version of this valance. But after ironing one of the valances and hanging I decided I loved the valance but the color wasn't for my living room. So considering I was going to have to return the one mismatched valance I decided to return all 3 and order the Ivory Beige. JCP really needs to have whomever prepares these shipments to be more aware of what's being sent out to the customer. This mismatched valance should have been caught. I've also read on here a lot of these valances have missing tassels. Thankfully all of my tassels were there. Let's see however on the next order.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I loved the style of the valance. The fabric was not the quality I was looking for. It was too shear and held too many wrinkles. Did not want to see through to the outside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks colonial I had read the reviews and it was said that fringes came off when put in dryer with wet towel. The fringe is delicate so I used 2 washcloths dampened in dryer to remove wrinkles .I did loose one fringe but was to side so I didn't worry about It .Curtain looks awesome used claret red. The bedroom is done in Confederate Soldiers. Curtain completes the look I wanted. Added an elegant touch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Victory Valance! I am so happy with my purchase! I have received so many compliments! They look custom made, love the color, matched perfectly! My family and friends thought they were custom made. I replied yes they were, by JC PENNY! They couldn't believe it. Now they too are going to order them in different colors! I am a very pleased customer! Thank You!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Less than poor quality I have been purchasing curtains from Penney's for 20 years. This is by and far the worst quality product I have ever seen. I washed them as directed and practically every single tassel fell off. Please don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap & Inexpensive in Appearence Surprisingly I returned this valance, as it appeared of cheap fabric. I am usually very happy if not elated w/ the quality of JCP curtains & bedding, this valance, however, did not meet my expectations. The fabric looks cheesy & inexpensive. The advertisement picture looks great, but did not at all look as such when hung. I knew the minute I took it out of it's package by the feels & look of it I wasn't going to be pleased. I hung them for the benefit of the doubt & later returned them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2 out of 5 were sent back Read labels on valances and discovered OK in the dryer. Used that method with a wet towel to get the wrinkles out. The fist 3 pair did well. Then, the bottom dropped out. Needed a total of 4 and the last one had 3 tassles pull apart and shred. That went back and another ordered. The replacement had one tassle fall off. I like the valances' look so ordered yet another and still waiting. If that doesn't work, I'll next order several and hope one of them will hold up!

Which curtains match this valance? Do I need a double rod? If my rod is 140" across will I need two valances?

Asked by: Yolanda
I only used the valances for my breakfast room windows... for a 140" size window, you would need 3 at least. These are beautiful.
