Very close to the picture but actually prettier in person. The blues are very light and range from very light pale blue to a light pale sky blue and a blue with a light tint of turquoise. The browns are a very light sandy ecru, a few tones darker putty brown and a darker bark brown. The fabric is light weight and has a linen like texture . The curtains (I used 2 for a real drape look) have a subtle shine and a very fine metallic thread runs through the fabric. This shine is not overt and reminds me of how sand can sparkle on the beach. In my opinion this slight shine allow the blue to accent the brown nicely. I really wanted a fabric that would mellow a true turquoise accent tile and compliment the "beach" blues and sandy browns in the walls and floor of my hall bath and I am very pleased at this choice. My search was for the right blue tones and I got them. I was surprised how the brown tones balanced the blue in my tiles and the blues and brown of my decorative accents, wall and floor colors. My bathroom is small and I wondered if the pattern would make the space appear smaller; it does not. Very happy with the curtains. *Note: I don't actually have a shower in the bath so I was not concerned that the fabric is light weight so if you need to use with an actual shower then of course a heavier curtain liner is mandatory. Very pleased with my purchase.
