  • blackout panel helps block light and noise
  • charcoal, cool white, smokey taupe, seamist, seagrass and mood indigo colors have gunmetal grommets
  • executive brown, stargazer, ivory beige, palmetto red, midnight purple and traditional tan colors have bronze gold grommets

Panel is sold individually. Measured overall. Hang on a rod up to 1¼" in diameter.  Polyester with polyester lining. Washable. Imported.

Style tip: Steam or press out wrinkles and hang panel, folding the end grommets back towards the window. This should create four evenly spaced folds. At the bottom of the panel, pull the folds together like an accordion and, using a binder clip,  fasten them from the back all the way to the bottom hem. Hang overnight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, quality curtains I purchased (4) 95" Ivory Beige panels for my daughter's room and (4) 108" Restoration Green panels for my study. The materials have a beautiful sheen, which is exactly what I was looking for. The panels are true to length... I measured each one. I really like the decorative brass grommets too, they add a little more elegance to compliment the material. The lining appear to be good quality. It is a light grey thermal material with pretty decent weight and is attached at the sides and top of the panel. I was pleasantly surprised that the Restoration Green was actually a light, silvery green. I couldn't find this color in store or described in other reviews, and the online presentation of Restoration Green appeared to be a much darker, grey green. I'm glad I took a chance. The Ivory Beige is true to color. I was able to view this in store before I purchased, so no surprise there. I'm very happy with these and was really glad to get them on sale. JCP is my go to for drapes, I have a lot of windows in my new home, and keep coming back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality and elegant I have these curtains in every room of my house and have bought them in various colors over the years. They add a touch of class and provide excellent black out. The quality is superior to anything else I have found. I do buy them when they're on sale as they can be expensive if you have a lot of windows. They wash surprisingly well and I use a steamer to remove any wrinkles.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Description is inaccurate I ordered these in indigo, which said the grommets are gunmetal. That is completely untrue. The grommets were that ugly 1980s bronze color. I would not have ordered them if the description was accurate. I will be calling JCP tomorrow and making them pay for return shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks more expensive/luxurious than expected I work nights and have a hard time falling/staying asleep and going back to sleep when there's too much light in the bedroom. I got by on my first five nights by hanging a fleece blanket folded in half from grommets and picture hanging hooks. Decided to dress up the room, am very happy with these drapes. They pleat and hang well. Important notes: 1. Follow the window coverings guide on this website to make sure you order enough panels. 2. Don't expect a perfect look right out of the bag. You need to launder, dry and iron the panels before hanging them up the first time. Start to finish, installing the rods and preparing the curtains took me about 3 hours (most of the "wasted" time was spent getting my measurements figured out BEFORE I drilled, and laundering/drying/ironing the panels). But, I don't have to touch them again until they need laundering. 3. Don't try to pair these panels with the Prescott double rod and the Royal Velvet Plaza grommet balloon valances. The valances were unlined, which just looked silly over these drapes. The grommet tops don't allow enough clearance to pull smoothly back and forth with a valance installed on the front rod. 4. Don't expect total blackout from these drapes. You can achieve this by pairing them with blackout cellular shades. (The ones in the photos are by Levolor). 5. If you want a more casual, less shiny look, select a different drape with a linen-type fabric. Great product, so happy I bought them! The grommet tops add just a little flair and make these blinds super easy to hang and drape (did I mention that I hate drapery pins?). The workmanship is very good, and the fabric is both luxurious and easy care. I would purchase these again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does a great job of darkening the room I searched the internet, shopped at what seemed like a million stores and finally found the curtains I wanted at JC Penneys. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the style of the grommets, but other than that, everything else is perfect about them

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The curtains seem great and look nice The curtains were a great buy and on sale. They are very nice looking but aren't fully blackout like I wanted but are close enough to keep since I couldn't find the color in any other curtains,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality These drapes are a better quality than the discount stores. The fabric is beautiful and has a nice heavy feel to it. I saw it in the store before ordering and really liked the weight of the fabric, the quality of the construction and the lining. I chose the color, Traditional Tan, which is more of a medium taupe color. Now that it is up, I love how it warms up the room, both the look and feel of the room and the temperature. It has a good quality lining and does keep the room warmer. It isn't the heaviest drape and lining but really does the job well for us in a moderately cold climate. And is a great value for the price. I recommended to my sister who bought a whole house full of drapes. JC Penny, keep up the quality, service and wonderful products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can finally sleep in! I purchased these curtains in white and I love them! I can finally sleep late. My bedroom has the eastern exposure, and even though I have vertical blinds, by 6:45, there is lots of light in the room. I purchased these curtains so that my husband and I can sleep in on our days off. They are very effective; on Saturday we slept until 8:40, and Sunday until 9:05, and I could not believe that it was that late, when I got up, because it was still dark in the room. The curtains are very elegant looking and slide easily because of the grommets. I had purchased curtains at two other stores before buying these, and I returned them, because they did not darken the room enough. These curtains are great, and they are washable, which is a great plus. One of the previous ones that I returned before buying these, were dry clean only, so I was very happy to find that these are washable. I very happy with my purchase, and I will buy more for the kids rooms later.

Size curtain rod

What size curtain rod do. Need
Asked by: Keri
Follow the recommendations in the guide on this website. However, If you are at the bottom end of the size range, consider getting the rod that is one size shorter, as long as it is wide enough for your window. Otherwise, half of the adjustable rod will be the narrower inner tube and might be hard to pull the draperies across (if you will be opening them). If you are only putting up a valance that doesn't get opened/shut, then it doesn't matter.

Ability to Block Out Heat and Cold

Do the Royal Velvet Plaza Grommet curtains block out heat and cold? If you know of another JCP curtain that does, please let me know.
Asked by: Carol
Hi, That's a good question and I am glad to be able to answer it for you. I have found that these draperies block-out a lot of the heat this summer - to the extent that we only turn on the AC to drop the humidity - once in a while. The more draperies your hang, the closer the pleats will be and the more heat you will block-out. The same goes for the winter cold. The draperies kept our LR warm in the winter - no drafts or cold air. AND - I am talking about a wall with a sliding glass door and floor to ceiling glass windows. I hope that this information is helpful to you and thank you for asking.

I would like to order these; however, I have three windows that are together measuring 105.5 inches and these are only 50 inches wide.

Would I have to have custom made?
Asked by: Rudy
I also have a large slider. I bought 4 panels to cover this door. You can buy extras to make them fuller, but the 4 I have on it are just fine.
