Care tip: Some lint may be observed in the first few launderings of towels, and will diminish with each subsequent laundering. This does not affect the look, feel or performance of your towels. Please follow the recommended care instructions on the label and keep the lint trap clean on your dryer.

Eco-friendly tip: This towel is made with long-lasting quality in mind. Give it a second life when you're through with it by donating it to a local charity instead of discarding in the trash.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality The last set of Royal Velvet towels lasted 10 years. The newer towels are very light weight, but that's because the loops are not as dense and drying ability is not as good. You may feel that you've lost half the towel after the first washing when you examine the lint filter. Add to that issue a towel with stitches that are coming undone after only 5 months of use and you have a poorly made towel that is definitely not a bargain! Not recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price------ great towels I had bought some towels at another store that were their best store-brand and was awfully disappointed when they got faded streaks all over after the first was before even using them. I immediately took them back to the store and was told they knew they were having that problem. Got a refund and went to J. C. Penney's and bought these Royal Velvet towels. They are wonderfully thick and fluffy and washed up great! I would recommend these towels to anyone wanting a soft, fluffy and thick towel at a really good price!!!!! As a matter of fact, I already told my niece and she immediately bought some too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Deliciously luxurious These are soft and fluffy - well beyond my expectations! Yes, they're a little lint-y at first. A few hot washes took care of the biggest part of that, and, honestly, it's a trade-off we can manage for those towels! They're absorbent and bright (we got white), and amazing! Using the bath sheets is like getting a great, big hug every time. My little grandson absolutely adores them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My "Cloud Towels" I absolutely LOVE these towels. They are so light and fluffy, and they have even gotten better with multiple washes. They are not heavy or bulky like other towels, and they keep their color and softness for at least a year (the amount of time I have had them). I will not buy another other type of towel now. GREAT deal!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This towel is way too thin. This towel is very thin, not at all what I expected! I should have know the price was too good. You get what you pay for. I personally do not like a towel that is so thick it won't fit into all the "nooks and crannies", but these towels were paper thin. I can't imagine that they would be very absorbent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Towels I bought a set of these towels to try. Took them home and washed them. Used them that night and was very satisfied with the quality. Very soft and absorbent. Liked them so much I went back the next day and bought another set. And with the sale and discounts, the price was unbelievable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty nice towels Very soft and good color. I bought Egret - which is really just Ivory. I've washed them once and they came out great - no snags or anything. I got them with a great sale price and am very happy with the purchase so far. The ship to store option works great as well.

Why do some of the towels come out blotchy after first wash?

Why do towels come out blotchy after washing once?

Washed new towels, color was Perfect Aqua, all towels were blotchy and streaked looking. Only used detergent, no bleach.
Asked by: Badshoppingexp
I've never had that happen, though I did not have the aqua towel. Did you have other colors in the laundry that may have run? Did you pour detergent or bleach directly on the towel? Even bleach dispensers can dump all the bleach on the laundry at one time causing blotches. Was the towel used by someone who used hair spray?. The hair product can cause blotches you may not see till the item is laundered. Was the towel used to wipe up after cleaning a bathroom. The bath cleaning product around a wet sink or tub can wreck a nice towel pretty fast. I hope this helps.

does anyone have a problem with one end unraveling?

I have a collection of Royal Velvet towels. These have a little different name though. Do they unravel on one end? My old ones do.
Asked by: jcpfan70
We haven't washed them yet, but I don't think it would be a problem. These are very good quality.

What is the GSM of these towels?

Asked by: Michael
I also don't know the answer, but I agree they would not be 6.23 GSM, that would be less than tissue paper thin. GSM stands for grams (weight) per square meter. Towels range from 300 to 900. Although a higher number means a denser, heavier towel, as a small person I actually prefer a thinner towel that is easier to manipulate.
