I have a window that is 33 inches wide from the outside and used two of these valances for the window.
It looks beautiful - very full and hangs nicely so even though your window is 6 inches wider than mine,
two valances will be fine. HOWEVER, that being said, I had a huge problem getting the valances on
the 3 inch rod. When I measured the pocket on the valance it was 2 3/4 inches instead of 3. Because
I loved the look of the valances and the material, I decided to keep them and have them tailored to
fit the rod. It was very expensive but since I do not change my window treatments frequently, I decided
to pay for it. If you use a standard curtain rod or a round, decorative rod, it should be fine but the valances will hang more loosely than on a 3 inch rod. I hope this information is helpful.
