Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely I ordered a bunch of these panels in silver sage for my bedroom. They are beautiful drapes--perhaps not as good as custom-made, but still quite lovely. (I may be unfairly comparing them to custom-made, hence the "good" quality rating instead of "excellent.") Out of the package they were wrinkled, but I'll steam out the wrinkles if they don't come out by simply letting them hang for awhile. They're light in weight but hang well (better than the non-thermal lined panels). The back tabs make them so easy to hang. Their thermal lining is separate (not fused to the panel fabric) and adds a welcome layer of insulation to my "insulating" top-down-bottom-up shades. The regular price for these panels is too high, but I ordered them during one of JCP's recent sales at 40% off plus "buy 1 get the 2nd for 1 cent" deals: A great buy! I don't know how durable they'll be, but the fabric used is not cheap. And the color I got is lovely: a soft, soothing green. I'm very happy with these panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This panel is excellent for my purpose. Love the backing. This panel is excellent for blocking the North and Northwest cold winds that blow straight at our window. Believe they will block the sunshine also if we ever have any again. They seem to be of excellent quality and the only thing wrong is they will need to be ironed!!! The wrinkles have not "released" in the 2 weeks they have been hanging, so will need to either iron them or purchase a steamer and see if this works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works very well; perfect size I am satisfied with this purchase. I understand that the drapery was wrinkled. I ran the panel in the dryer with a woolite home drycleaner sheet and the wrinkles came out. I recommend the drapery.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product Not Very Heavy These drapery panels, so-called "thermal", replaced my old jcp drapes from many years ago. As with many new jcp products, these drapes are not near the quality of the old drapes. I'm sure they won't last as long, either. The new drapes are not heavy, for thermal drapes, nor do they block a lot of light coming through the window. Also, because they were packed very tightly in a small plastic bag, they were very wrinkled. I did manage to iron them, taking out some of the creases I wanted, along with the many wrinkles, with great effort and lots of time and patience. I am disappointed in the lack of quality in this product. My old drapes took lots of UV so had to be replaced, but I should have shopped around for a better product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good buy on versatile curtains This was the 2nd pair of thermal lined curtains that I purchased so obviously I am happy with them. First, let's talk about their versatility. You can hang them different ways. Now a days, pinch pleated curtains and drapes are rarer and rarer. I wanted to use a traverse rod so I had to get curtains I could attach hooks to and these fit the bill. You can also thread a rod through them as well. They come folded so expect some packing wrinkles. That wasn't a problem for us because we have a steamer and they came right out. Both times I purchased these curtains on sale and consider them a good value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too messy. I ordered these curtains and they were a mess. You can't iron them because of the pleats. I sent them back and got some that were thermal lined thinking they may look better. Wrong! Then I ordered again and they were worse. There is no way these curtains would ever straighten out on their own and I didn't know what to do with them. Maybe I just don't know what to do with these type of curtains. I bought new rods and got the curtains that slide on the rods and I like them a lot. They hardly had to be ironed when I received them. Such nice material. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxury Look I bought these thermal panels for a large dinning room with large windows. I hung them at the 95" length well above the actual window top. They look like expensive linen; there is a thermal backing that is thin on the back of the fabric, along with a white liner, and while the drapes will darken and protect the room from cold and heat... you are able to see the linen-look of the drape. I don't know how they do that! These are a gorgeous, perfect pinch pleat that will stay in a tight accordion fold when opened/pushed to side of windows. I have mine hung on a thick round window treatment pole so they slide easy to close and open. They are very elegant and expensive looking. These drapes are exactly what I had hoped for, looked for and finally found at J.C. PENNEY (JCPENNEY.COM)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice The curtain arrived quickly. It looks nice hanging up. It is wrinkled but the wrinkles are getting less noticable as the curtain hangs. I like the thermal backing on the curtain. It looked thinner than my old curtains. It seems to be working as well or better than the old curtain. I choose the light blue. It looks more gray than I was expecting but still looks nice. When the sun shines through the window with the curtain closed, it is a beautiful blue. I will purchase more in the future.

Can I have these with drapery pins?

I don't want to hang on the back tab and it states that these can be used with pins, I can't find where to insert pins.
Asked by: Kimberly
You have to use the pins that have the sharp points on them and then just poke it in by the pleat at the top. The old fashioned ones that slide into the pleats will not work on these .

How thick of a rod could I use with these pinch-pleat/back tab curtains? The rods previously had grommet curtains that just fit.

Asked by: Caryn
I think you could use a rod 3" in diameter, if you use the back tab. The back tab is very generous in size. I guess about 4 1/2 inches. If you use the pinch pleat , then the rod is standard. Hope this helps.
