Rated 4 out of 5 by sturdy This is a nice thick liner. I got tired of water squirting through the mesh of my hookless shower curtain, and the way it looked with the bottom on the inside of the tub so I sewed this liner on through the grommets onto the material just under the rings. The liner goes in the tub, the curtain stays on the outside and no more water shooting around! February 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by super value I have always used fabric liners but I was getting tired of having to throw them in the washer every time they got soap scum on them. I saw this one and decided to give it a try. I love it! Easy to clean, moves easily on the rod in the shower, and had no smell. And the price was very competitive for the quality! July 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Mrs Just installed. Hope it does not mildew. Purchased the 8 gauge for a better quality. July 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works Very Welll I ordered this shower liner instead of the vinyl. This liner works very well. I only wish it was a few inches longer. I plan to purchase another one. July 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by medium weight just right This quality liner is not so thin that it clings to you in the shower, but not so thick to prevent easy pull back when exiting the shower. July 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good thickness. Stays in place. Nice quality - The liner is thick and will not tear easily. July 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great texture I love all the products I brought from JC Penny;s Never had a problem with returning or anything else June 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this shower curtain This shower curtain is heavy duty and made of good quality. It was also priced very well. And I love that it's mildew resistant. June 21, 2016

I'm looking for a thin, lightweight, clear plastic liner. Does that mean I want the lowest gauge?

Answer:
Your description of thin and lightweight may mean that you want a lighter gauge than this liner which I would characterize as medium weight. However, if you stand close to a liner in the shower, a thin gauge can cling to you when it moves and touches your body. I don't like them so thin for that reason.

Answer:
You can tell the thinness to thickness by price difference, thinner = less expensive. The 8 gauge is substantially thick, go for a lower number for a thinner one.

Yes, the smaller the gauge the more thin and lightweight the liner will be.

Answer:
The smaller number the gauge the thicker your shower curtain liner will be, and it will be stiffer rather than flimsy, hope this helps you
