Rated 5 out of 5 by Great color Loved the rods and matching clips for my daughter's bedroom. I had a coupon, which gave me more incentive to make the purchase. April 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It's strong enough for long spaces The rod is strong enough to support curtains across a wide window opening. February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Adjustable Curtain Rod works perfectly The adjustable rod & supports worked perfectly for our new window and curtains. It was easy to put up & the adjustable feature gave us that perfect location for the curtains. November 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly as stated I'm not a big fan of purchasing these type items online but this was exactly what I excepted. Looks just like the picture. Some assembly required. September 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product for the price Hardware is a little difficult to assemble, but overall good quality for the price. September 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product for the sale price This curtain rod was a good deal when I purchased it on sale and with a reward coupon...at regular price, not so much of a deal. The darker, brushed silver look is really nice and they were easy to put up. However, I did get frustrated with the way the hangars went together - 2 pieces (an L bracket and top piece with contoured rod support) with a very short screw connecting them that kept falling out of my hand...but I do see the essence of the design - the screw allows the hangars to adjust and either set closer or farther from the wall. Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Look and Easy To Put Up I purchased 4 Umbra Vale Ball 5/8 Curtain Rods (2 big and 2 small) for my front room and was very pleased with how easy they went up. The look is understated but perfect and they have improved the room amazingly. Thanks January 29, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed with product I purchased 2 rods thinking it was similar to a previous product that I purchased several years ago. Upon receipt, both rods were bent. Had I not been so desperate for window coverings, I would have returned them. I was able to bend them back to an acceptable shape, however, not perfect. Product was also flimsy; I purchased the medium length rod, extending to 88", and my span was approximately 83". I would not recommend this product. June 15, 2013

I am getting rid of my pinch pleated draperies and their curtain rod. But I am finding myself lost with all the new choices. Will a 5/8 curtain rod work for grommet curtains, or do I need something more substantial?

Answer:
Yes, just watch the size of the grommets. Please take a look at our Window 101 page - it's great for explaining current trends and education. I hope this helps!
