Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Range! My wife and I purchased our first home 3 years ago. The home we purchased had the original, builders grade white appliances in the home. We started replacing our appliances in May 2015, by purchasing a new stainless steel dishwasher (not Samsung). Then we replaced our side-by-side refrigerator with a Samsung french door/bottom freezer 28 cf stainless steel refrigerator. We loved the refrigerator so when we started looking for a new electric range and otr microwave we started by looking at Samsung, because of the good reviews the range had received. We purchased the range and otr microwave at JC Penney while it was on sale. By the time we received all the discounts we gave less for the stove and microwave than what the stove was on sale for. We love the stove, but disappointed with the top. We fried some bacon and some of the grease popped out on the stove top and now it has spots, that cannot be cleaned off. We have not used the convection oven or the convection microwave yet. We are hoping they are as good as the reviews say they are. We love the sleek design and look. We like all the features on this range. We really like the warming center on the range. We also like the double pan option on the left side front burner. You can use a large pan or small pan on this burner! Great job Samsung! Replacing all our white appliances with stainless steel has really made a difference in how our kitchen looks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love my new stove I purchased the Samsung 5.8 Cu. Ft. Slide-In Electric Range With Self-Cleaning Dual Convection Oven less than two weeks before Thanksgiving. My first major cooking task was Thanksgiving dinner. I love all the features and its ease of use. In particular, my portion of the dinner included ham, potato salad and several cakes. I was really tired, so I laid down and OH NO, I FELL ASLEEP. When I awakened, I had a limited amount of time for the 29+ lb. ham. My calculation for the time to cook the ham meant that I was going to be late for dinner. So, I used the convection bake feature versus the regular bake feature. I adjusted my racks and set the timer. It has three racks and seven levels to adjust based on what you're cooking. Wallah...Approximately 10 hours later, I had the juiciest, most tender ham ever!!! It left me plenty of time to let the oven cool and bake two cakes and brownies. They were all moist and delicious. For those slight spills, it has a self and steam-cleaning features. It has two timers, so you can cook more than one item with different cooking times. I really like the glass cook top, but I must say that I have to be more careful. Bringing in the groceries and putting them on the stove top is no longer an option. I’m learning to leave the cook top clear of items, because it will melt that piece of the plastic bread bag hanging over the counter onto the stove top. But, the plastic cleaned up very easily, just let it cool. Another thing that I’m more cautious with are the burner controls. My spice cabinet is above the stove. So, in an effort to retrieve a spice, I leaned up and pushed in the control button with my body, which turned on the burner. It will begin to heat up. The nice thing is that it has a locking feature (code) to keep the stove from being turned on. That feature is great for children (toddlers) that like to touch the stove controls and elderly family members that you no longer want cooking or using the stove. I am totally happy and satisfied with my oven.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from panel went out 5 days after installed Stove was installed on Nov 19 and the panel went out on Thanksgiving day on Nov 24. A week later the panel was replaced. The burners boil even on the lowest setting. I read reviews and they spoke of the panel problems during cleaning....mine went out without attempting to clean the oven. After it was repaired I chose to use the steam cleaning feature. Barely cleaned (from the Thanksgiving meal I was able to prepare) and then it had water drippings in between the glasses in the door. I chose to go with all SAMSUNG appliances based on my previous experiences but it appears their current products are not up to par. Very disappointed. I tried to register my purchases on the SAMSUNG site and none of my appliance's serial numbers that I purchased through JCPenney's were recognized and haven't been able to address my issues with them yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad timer I love most things about our new stove. when using the timer for the first time I found the noise it makes when done is completely useless. I have to be standing right next to the stove to hear it. I called support and was told it is not possible to adjust the volume on the timer to an audible level, the options are only to turn it on or off. The other more important features of this stove work perfectly and I am otherwise extremely happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new range I've had my new range for a few weeks now and I love it. It's easy to use, the control panel instructions are clear and simple, love the large surface elements for fast and steady cooking. Temperatures remain constant, my old smooth top elements had great temperature variations while cooking. The same for my convection oven. Love it ! Everything cooks evenly and the large oven is a dream, It's one of the reasons I chose Samsung, a very large oven with good controls and the convection factor. There are so many other nice features, (keep warm feature, favorite cook feature to record 3 different settings, bread proof mode, temp probe, warming center element on the cook top..and MORE) So far, it seems easy to keep the cooktop clean. I do wish they made a smudge proof stainless steel and if I have one wish..it would be that the timer sound be louder, it is hard to hear when the oven fans are working. Far more positives than negatives on this range for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Design and works The design is similiar to every other stove. Large burners in the front small at the rear. Not very user friendly for reaching over hot pots in front. Fast boil burner only is fast on the large pot setting. Largest burner is too big for most pots and pan bottoms. The temperature is difficult to control. When turned down it does not respond quickly, it takes long to go down so you have to move the pan to prevent burning. Glass top is hard to make streak free even with stove top cleaner which I use regularly. Oven light next to oven off button bad placement. Merely brush the controls on the front and they light up. No off button to turn off. Convection oven does not cook as fast as advertised, in fact it takes longer than regular bake. I have yet to have a successful cake in the time recommended by recipe. My previous stove was perfect every time. If you like to cook and bake don't get this stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding performance with sleek slide-in design The stove top and oven look like more expensive professional models. The range and oven perform quickly and uniformly. It is my first experience with a convection oven and I find that it's balanced heating make it an easy transition. I also like that the door is closed during the broil function. My only concern is that the touch display engages very easily. I expected that it would activate when the "wake up" position was touched, but the screen lights easily when any part is touched - as in wiping the oven front or glass screen. While the screen does light none of the oven functions have activated unintentionally which I expect is part of Samsung's thoughtful design.
