Rated 5 out of 5 by from first baby purchase After spending a lot of time looking at different cribs online and reading all of the reviews, I decided to go with the "bella" crib which had no reviews. Yikes! I am excited to say that the crib is just as pretty as the picture and the expresso color is perfect (no red tones). The crib is on the pricier side but to me it was worth it to get exactly what I wanted: a beautiful, well-made crib! If you follow the directions it is super easy to put together, maybe 30 minutes. The only issue we had was that one of the pre-drilled screw holes was too small for the screw. We just took a small metal rasp and widened the hole until the screw fit. Took maybe five extra minutes. The crib was also packaged very well and was in perfect condition when we got it home from the store. One thing to consider is that the box it comes in is huge! We struggled to get it into the back of a mini-van even with the seats removed so a truck might be a better option. Hope the baby likes it as much as I do....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from years of use and still holding up I bought this set in cream for my first baby in 2013. Three years later, with one rough and tumble crazy 2.5 yr old, I couldn't be happier. the product shipped quickly, and was packed well in cardboard and Styrofoam. My husband and I spent one afternoon putting everything together, pretty easily, and haven't looked back since. its sturdy, pretty, and well built. i've used it everyday, with relatively little wear and tear. the drawers open and close with ease, as do the cabinets. we had problems with one knob on the dresser, but the screw was stripped when it came in, overall a pretty easy fix at your local hardware store. the crib is elevated enough to put a long flat tote underneath for extra sheets and accessories. the paint has chipped on one small part of the changing table, but I think it's from my belt rubbing against it. i'ts also pretty easy to change the height of the mattress with an allen wrench, and 15 minutes. I'm getting ready to order another set for baby number two and thought a review might help some folks :) enjoy the adventure and don't sweat the furniture decision too much. ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful crib! I ordered this crib, along with the Bella changing table and dresser. The first shipment I ordered had one end of the crib with a huge, SHARP, scratch, which I was able to get replaced without returning the whole thing. It was very easy to assemble (less than 45 minutes). I was, however, very upset to find that there was a warning label (approx 4"x15") on the outside crossbar at the end of the crib. I realize that the company wants to make sure they are covered against liability, but it was next to impossible to remove. I found that Goo Gone worked (along with a lot of elbow grease). There are also a series of labels on the inside of the same piece that will be obvious unless you have a crib skirt that goes to almost the floor. One other thing to note- there are no wood plugs, so you see the fairly large holes that are required for assembly. Other than that, once the stickers were removed, the unit is very attractive and appears to be very sturdy. I am very happy with how it looks in the nursery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS CRIB! I love this crib! I wanted something simple and something where you could see a bedskirt at the bottom. I also loved that it converts to a toddler bed. My husband said it was one of the easiest things he has ever put together. We are very happy with it! I did not like the other pieces (changer/chest) that came in the set - only because I preferred the look of the Bedford Baby Monterey Changer/Chest in Cherry. It all looks great together! Savanna Bella Convertible Crib in Espresso and Bedford Baby Monterey Changer and Chest in Cherry. We are very happy with our purchase! I do recommend light curtains/rug/glider/bedding as it is a lot of dark wood but its exactly what we wanted! Very happy with our purchase! The colors are almost identical of the two brands and it looks great together!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Crib, Great Construction Let me start by saying that this crib is beautiful. My husband and I searched all the local baby stores, including PBK, and were disappointed by the cheap construction of cribs that were sometimes priced upwards of $1200. We could not justify paying so much money for a piece of furniture that was not solid wood. Decided to check out JCP's Savannah cribs after reading their great reviews in Baby Bargains. We bought two of these cribs in the white finish, one for each of our twins, and they fit beautifully in their room. They are not bulky or oversized, but are still very stylish. We love that they're solid wood, which is great for the price. Easy to assemble - it took my husband about 30-45 minutes for each (and he's not the handiest). The finish is very pretty - some scratches on the seams/edges upon opening the box, but those are easily fixed with a little touch-up...nothing terrible at all. JC Penny's customer service was awesome - would highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product difficult to put together We received our Bella crib in off-white over the weekend and were excited to put it together. The box the crib was received in was HUGE. It would not fit into the back of our Explorer, so plan on having a larger vehicle for pick-up. Once home we opened the box and inspected the pieces. Most were fine; a couple had minor scuff marks. As we began assembling the crib I did notice a crack on one of the legs. To me it seemed to be a knot in the wood where the pain was cracked through, so although not ideal, we did decide to keep it as it was in an inconspicuous place. The directions were very simple to follow, however the assembly was quite frankly a pain. The places where the screws attached to each of the pieces had a lot of debris inside them which caused the screws to clog up. Also, each screw had to be perfectly aligned as you were assembling or else they would begin to strip out. My husband and I are very handy, and something that should have taken us 30-45 minutes ended up taking two hours because of the difficulty we had with the screws and their alignments. Needless to say, we were very frustrated by the time we had the crib together. We do love the look of the crib; however the difficulty of assembling the product did make us wonder if we made the right purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The PERFECT Crib I purchased this in Espresso a year ago. This crib is lovely for boy or girl. A true rich classic espresso. Its great because it comes w/a guard rail for toddler stage & it has a plastic cover on top of rail rim on each side so teething babies don't bit the wood paint finish. Plus I got it at half the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Crib The crib was pretty easy to put together, and is sturdy. We liked this crib because it has real wood pieces. The box it comes in is huge and you will probably need a truck if you go pick it up yourself. I was frustrated that I couldn't find out the size of the mattress that was needed from the website. We ended up buying a mattress that is 51.6 x 27.2 x 5 inches and it fits very snug. It works great.

In response to a previous question, it was stated that the off-white version is made in Indonesia. What about the manufacturing location of the other finishes?
