Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fabric is funky. Just received this yesterday. Big disappointment. Wanted to let people know about the funky fabric. The blanket is 100% polyester. When I opened it, I knew I'd be returning this because of the fabric. Best way I can describe it is that it looks like paper which resembles the cheap pillowcases that airlines use to cover their pillows but thicker and is somewhat plastic too. I don't believe that it breathes at all which is possibly why it's so warm....? It's also somewhat shiny which I don't like either. A dull shine. The size is really nice and covers the sides of the bed well but just can't get over the funky fabric. The blanket is somewhat thin but not as thin as I thought it'd be which is nice. If this blanket had nicer fabric that didn't have the above mentioned features to it, I'd keep it. Hope this helps some so that they're not as unpleasantly surprised as I am. Next time, I'm going to the store so that I can see it for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Down-Alternative Blanket I absolutely love this blanket! I use it under my quilt and it's just the right weight; not too thin/not too heavy. It keeps me extremely comfortable at night. I find that I no longer kick my covers off from being too hot during the night. Excellent quality, cannot beat the price-just buy one already!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blanket I've had this blanket for 10 months now. When I ordered it I was concerned about the fabric because it had been mentioned in other reviews. When I received it, I did find that the fabric was different than most down comforters, but it wasn't listed as a comforter, it was listed as a blanket, and that's what I ordered it for. The fabric wasn't cheap or irritating to my skin and it looked fine, especially for layering under my bed spread. It's amazingly warm for how light it is. It's also stood up well to my two dogs jumping and bouncing on the bed for close to a year with no visible wear and no tears. I love this thing. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more if I needed them and will recommend it to my friends. Just remember that this is sold as a blanket and seems to me that's what it's intended for. It's not the same as a down comforter so don't order it if a traditional down comforter is what you're looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECTION! i purchased this blanket for every bed in my home and also at our getaway home. We sleep under this almost year round. We only need a little more when it is below 35 degrees. I hate heavy bedcovers. Once you get under this and get comfy, you stay that way all night. One color didn't look as comfy as the others, but after you wash them they are even better. I've had these over a year now and purchased these at the sale price. I even ordered extras in case they discontinue it. There is another one that is a little warmer that has microfleece on one side and it's just perfect for the really cold nights. If you don't want a heavy blanket, this is the one to get. You will sleep under it even in the summer. We keep our house at 68 degrees in winter and 71 in summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This blanket is very nice This blanket is very nice in appearance and it fits great on the new mattress. I am a little disappointed because it isn't as warm as I thought it might be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Blanket I purchased this blanket to replace a fleece blanket that I no longer cared for. This boucle down alternative blanket is now my most favorite blanket ever. It is very thin and light weight. However, it is also a comfortable level of warmth for the summer months. It is very soft and feels wonderful on the skin. It does not catch any dry areas you may have on your feet or elsewhere, which is a nice feature. I am using it as a coverlet on the bed during the summer months. The queen size blanket fits my queen bed perfectly with the perfect overhand on all sides. I will put a down alternative comforter over it for the winter months and I know this will be plenty to keep me nice and toasty in the colder months. I only wish I could get a boucle down alternative comforter as well. Buy this blanket. You will love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great blanket for a great price I ordered this blanket in the light gray shade. It is lightweight and soft, but has kept me warm. I've washed it twice on delicate and it came out perfect. My dogs jump and sleep on my bed and it is holding up well. A big bonus was getting it at the price I did! One comment I do have is that the description says "boucle'." This is not boucle or at least does not appear to be, as boucle is typically a fabric with looped threads/yarns. This is a smooth woven fabric.

I have a king size deep mattress on a platform bed. I want to tuck this in at the bottom. Is large enough to do that?

Asked by: Renee
Probably not. I think it hangs down just enough to cover the mattress if you use it for a comforter, which we do. It hangs down about 12-14" on our bed. My husband doesn't like anything tucked in on his side. He wants his feet out! I will keep buying these when mine wear out until they discontinue them. That's how much we both love it.

Is this blanket light weight?

I have a king size heavy weight down comforter that my husband loves but it is too hot for me. I'm looking for a light weight alternative.
Asked by: Becky
This is a very light weight "quilt" rather than a blanket. Not comparable to down comforter...would be a different season alternative to down.
