Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fit for a petite figure I am very pleased with these pants. I am 5'2'' and 117 lbs. I have trouble finding pants that are not too baggy in the hips. These fit perfectly--they are not too loose or too tight. The short length is just about right for me--they could stand to be a half inch shorter, but they work just fine with heels. With 2 3/4 inch heels they do not drag on the ground. October 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by product is good, but found a defect I ordered 3 pair of the Star City Slant Pocket Pants. One of the pair had an obvious defect. There were strings hanging off of most of the seams and during the first wear, they completely split open at one of the seams. I needed to machine sew most of the seams to be able to make the pants work. October 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great dress pant I needed a dress pant that wasn't mawmaw-ish and these work great...the come in black, brown and grey and short, average and long too. I have had a problem with other dress pants from jcp with the hem coming out after little use, but I have had these for over a year and wear them heavily and they have stayed put. The color also has not faded (or at least noticeably) which is also a huge plus! I own 2 black and a brown pair. The are light enough that you can wear them in the summer but you don't freeze in the winter. They stretch slightly which is great since my job require a lot of bending and squatting. The pockets are deep enough to actually put stuff in...I just wish the back pockets were real. The have a slight flare at the bottom to give them a youthful appearance but its not a bell bottom by any means and the cotton is soft, not that stiff polyester stuff that plagues the junior dept. They give me a butt, unlike most dress pants and they fit true to size and length. May 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pants, easy wash and wear, look professional These pants fit me. The quality is great. The fabric is easy care: wash and dry without wrinkles. The pockets are slanted and deep enough for a small phone. The belt loops hold a wider belt. They have a professional look when wearing and are great to move and work in. June 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect work pants, the only ones I wear!! I absolutely love these pants! I have bought many many pairs for work, and they are all that I wear to work. For the cost, they are high-quality pants that will hold up for a long time. I have trouble finding dress pants that I like the fit of. I really like how these fit, and I have co-workers that buy the same ones. I am tall, so I love that they come in "longs". Although they discontinued all colors in long, except for the black. I kick myself everyday for not buying all the other colors before they were discontinued! Please bring back the longs in all colors! May 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Run Small I am tall and slim, so I'm glad these have a long enough inseam and slim fit through the hips. I did have to return them for the next size up, as they run smaller than they did when I first purchased this brand a few years ago. The hem came out of my previous pair, but has held so far on the new pair. All in all, great for the price. May 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these pants I had a pair of dress pants I bought from JCP years ago, brand City Streets, that I love, but have seen better days. I searched JCP to see if I could find something similar and found Star City trousers. I ordered two pairs - the charcoal and black. The charcoal fit perfect, are comfortable and fit similar to my original pair. I love the slant pockets, the way they sit lower on the hips and wide flared leg - all perfect for my body type. The black pair I am returning because they seem to run a bit smaller. (I found this to be true of other black pants I have bought, different brand, at JCP) Not sure why. Thinking of buying a second pair of the charcoal. March 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding Value A family member is required to wear black pants for work. After trying on various brands at JCPenney, she decided the Star City Slant Pocket were by far the best fit and most comfortable. Since buying them, have also found that when washed and dried, they are still true to size, haven't faded and don't require ironing. April 15, 2016

Answer:
I wear a Junior (regular length) I am 5' 4 1/2" tall. They are perfect for me even with a 1/2 heel shoe. The longs are too long for me and I have to hem them.

Answer:
My inseam is 32 inches, I wear flats, and I buy the regular. The tall/long size might be appropriate if you wear heels often or have an inseam longer than 32".

Answer:
Junior Long is typically for those 5'7 or taller. I am 5'3 and step on the Junior pants. I believe the regular Junior will fit you well.

Answer:
Long is about 2 inches than regular length. Usually for taller females above 5'5". I'm a petite size but I buy the regular size so i can customize the length with my shoes.

Answer:
I have never purchased the Juniors as I am 5'10" so I've needed the long. I think if you look on line at the sizing chart it can show you the difference.

Answer:
I'm not sure of the exact difference in inches but if you like to wear heels with them, I suggest the junior long. I recently purchased a size 11 regular and with heels they look slighlty too short. I think the junior long looks much better with heels. I am 5'6" and usually wear a 2 inch heel. I hope that helps!!

Answer:
There is a 2 inch difference between juniors short, juniors, and juniors long. Short is 30" inseam, juniors 32", and juniors long is 34" inseam. If you plan on heels the long might be for you if not then go with just juniors.
