Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Durable cookware I have had this cookware set since either 2008 or 2009...Cant recall. I started with the 10 piece set and added a few more open stock items such as the 8 qt stock pot and a steamer pot basket and pot. I have the Emerilware set which is the same thing except it says Emerilware on the bottom but is made by Calphalon. It heats great with no cold spots. It cleans easily and if something gets stuck or burns turn up the burner and pour in a little water to remove it. Every once and a while I polish them up with Bon Ami on the inside if they start to discolor. My only complaint would be the 8 inch pan. The handle is almost heavier than the pan itself causing it to be unstable. If you are a new buyer to stainless steel and are used to using cheaply made pots and pans that are non stick the best tip I can give is that whatever temperture you were using with those pans you need to reduce it by 1/3 or even a half 1/2. with a good conductive stainless steel pan just like you would with cast iron. The main reason people have things stick in stainless and cast iron is because they turn the heat on the stove up too high because they are used to using pots and pans that lose heat almost as fast as they are being heated up. I still use a nonstick pan for a select few items like eggs or other very sticky foods

Rated 2 out of 5 by from If Looks Where Function! This set looks great and has nice, heavy bottoms. The lids fit well and function as designed. However, everything sticks to the bottom of theses pan. Regardless of temperature and measures taken to prevent sticking, adding oil, butter etc. This is not my first rodeo in the kitchen folks, so please don't blame inexperience! I have a competitor's sauté pan that I have had for years and that is what sold me on the stainless. My speculation is there is a difference in the stainless alloy or the surface finish is different. regardless, it is frustrating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stainless Steel I bought these pans because my old teflon pans were scratched and flaking. I read in a FLYLADY.net suggestion that stainless steel was the answer to never having to buy a set of pans again. They do seem really strong and pretty and no teflon. But they do have a tendency to burn things on the bottom if you are not extremely careful. Overall I love them but my husband hates them (yes he does cook). Hope this helps you decide. Sincerely ME.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pans I've had these pans for twelve years and they still look and perform as good as the day I bought them. As long as you follow the use and care instructions they will last forever. I've never used the hi setting with these always 8 or lower, no problem bringing items to boil at the stoves 8 or med high setting. It's hard to burn something with these pans and if you get anything stuck or any discoloration a little "bar keepers friend" (cleaner) will bring the shine right back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pans I've had the chance to use. I am a self-professed chef of 21 years of age. A few days ago, my Dad bought me these pans on a whim, and I have been looking for reasons to cook ever sense. I have recently became very interested in cooking, but I have only had the chance to use non-stick teflon type pans. This is the PERFECT set for someone who takes cooking seriously, but is still on a budget. Stainless steel is the safest material to cook with as I have learned, so I just feel better using these. I plan on having this wonderful set out live me. Food cooks faster, more consistently, and (as I see it) tastes better. I highly recommend any part of the collection, if not the whole set!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No sticking or burning here...an absolute pleasure I read some of the reviews on here and other sites saying that you can't cook eggs, that food sticks (especially eggs), and I was hesitant to buy the pan.  I bought it anyway and had no problem whatsoever with my eggs sticking.  I preheated the pan like they said and used butter and the eggs slid around in that pan better than any nonstick pan I've ever had.  I loved cooking with stainless and will never go back to cheap teflon coated nonstick stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love 'Em! Love the pans, love how they heat/cook, and look. Haven't used anything to shine them yet, but was disappointed to see that if I want to keep them looking 'like new' I will need to do that with most uses. But that is a simple fix and as long as they shine up like new, I will be 100% satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them so far! I've only had these for a week, but I've used nearly ever pan cooking up a storm, and I love the quality so far. The heating is very even, and pot cleanup is easy. I use steel wool scrubbing pads for tough grease.
