Rated 5 out of 5 by from RED WHITE AND BLUE I am 5'2 and between 140-150#, 38D and have a bit of a tummy. I bought this skirt in a Large and in the Tall because I like my skirts longer. I am so glad I did. This falls right to the middle of my calves. This material is light and airy and flows so nicely in the wind but because it is longer, I don't have to worry about it blowing up too high. The stitched rows of elastic on the waist make it very comfortable and forgiving if I should pass a buffet that I cannot resist. :D I wash all my clothing on cold short cycle and air dry mostly to help retain the color and shape. And, I might add, this beautiful skirt washed up nicely with no colors running or fading. This can be worn with many shades of red, white (of course) and blue. It is very versatile and so feminine. I will order more in different patterns if they are available and I highly recommend giving this oh so pretty skirt a try. Happy 4th of July!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This skirt is stylish for a mature woman and makes me feel feminine while being cool and comfortable. I wear skirts often to many various outings because you can dress them up or down, change the look with different tops, add a jacket, and enhance your look with sandals, flats, or heels. Selecting only earrings for daytime or adding other pieces dresses up the look for evenings out. I plan to pack the skirt and wear during our upcoming vacation and feel it will not wrinkle and be ready to wear at any time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SJB Knit Short Skirt Saw this skirt on a "whim" at my local JCP store and fell in love with it as it was being highlighted on the floor for the 4th of July. The colors and prints are very patriotic, but can certainly be worn during the rest of summer. I bought the multi-paisley (red, white and blue) and the print is true to photo. Skirt is very lightweight (has no lining) and a nice alternative to shorts or skorts. It's composed of rayon / spandex which gives it a very flowing, breezy look. My only complaint about this skirt is the smocked elastic waistband - it is a bit on the flimsy side and doesn't stand up straight (has a tendency to curl). I took the sides in just a bit to help eliminate the curling, which actually helped. Really wished the waistband was sturdier and held it's shape better, but overall, a neat little skirt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wearable transition skirt I needed a skirt to wear in the fall that would be a bit longer but still not hot to wear in our warm southern fall temperatures. I wanted one that was comfortable as I have long days of both standing in front of a classroom and sitting at my desk. I got the black and it's just right! It feels stylish and full but not voluminous. I can wear it with my cotton sweaters and feel like I'm dressed for the season. It's comfortable but not too loose fitting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Little on the Long Side Likely it's because I am so short (5'3"), but I found the skirt to have an odd length. It was neither knee length, nor tea length, but landed somewhere in between. The waistline fits true to size, but based on the length and the rough seams of the tiers on the inside of the skirt, I returned it for something different.

Answer:
I got the small but the waist is very forgiving wide elastic. So it's not tight at all.

I have an XL and the measurement is 37" around. It has a very comfortable elastic waist that stretches nicely without making me feel cut in half. Hope this helps!

I went online and clicked on the part to show the size chart and went by this. I would say if you wear a "M" in other dresses or skirts, then order that size in the skirt since its an elastic waist

Answer:
The waist measurement would be maybe a 12 or 14 for medium and for the large a 16-18. I wear a 16 so the L fit me well.

Answer:
The medium is 32 inches. The waist is a stretchy material so it can easily stretch a little larger.

Hi, I always order 14P at JCP when it comes to their dresses and skirts. Should I order a petite large or a petite extra large in this skirt? Thank you for answering in advance!

Answer:
I think you would find an XL way too big. I would start with a large; you may need to go down to a medium. The skirt runs a little big and has an elastic waistband. If you are on the shorter side, you might find the skirt too long or an odd length, as I did.

Answer:
I would order the Large. Its fit is true and is a stretch knit so you do not want it to be a little big.

Answer:
I bought it in store so was able to try int on in a PL and it fits fine; I am sort of between a 12 and 14--depending on the item sometimes a 12 fits and sometimes I have to to a 14. So it depends I guess on where you are perfectly size-wise. Because it is elastic and a soft fabric, I think you might be OK with a L.

Answer:
Hi,
I am a 12P, and I got the large, fits me well. I think you could try the Large, as the waistband is elastic and you'll probably wear a shirt over the waist area. Not sure why it's called a "short skirt" as it's NOT short on my 5'4" frame. I think the skirt is like a 12-14 in the large! Hope this helps, good luck.

Answer:
I think a petite L is sufficient, the fabric is very stretchy and if it's too large, it might fall off. It runs true to size I think.
