Rated 3 out of 5 by from These shirts used to be great My husband purchased a few of these shirts about a year ago and loved them. He recently ordered two more. While the fabric and overall style of the shirt has not changed, the length DEFINITELY has. He is about 5'7" and the shirts used to be just a tad long on him. The new ones that he ordered fit him like a dress! They come down to about the middle of his thigh. We thought that we had accidentally ordered a "big and tall" shirt, but no! I'm not sure why St. John's Bay changed the length of this polo, but I hope they change it back! Hopefully this was just a bad batch, but both of the new shirts were very long, so I'm skeptical.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable The size is standard so if you constantly get fooled by slim fit, you don't have to worry about these polo shirts. The material at first glance screams heavy, hot and uncomfortable but that is deceiving. Very light, soft and comfortable. The only negative comment I have is that I am very particular with how I wear my polo shirts in reference to the collar. I don't like to button it all the way to the top. The collar is very flimsy but I wore it buttoned all the way to the top and it looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy care and looks nice. These pique polo shirts are a great value. I wait for them to go on sale when I'm looking for a new color or to replace an old one. They wash up nicely. Just pull them from the dryer, hang them on a hanger and run your hand down them and maybe give a little tug at the bottom and they look great. They have a relaxed fit that I like and breath well so I can wear them year round. I would definitely recommend these shirts for value, fit and looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly a great shirt. 4 out of the 5 shirts I ordered ran true to size or bigger than normal. I shirt was 2 inches shorter. I returned the shorter shirt to JCPenney and received a no-hassle exchange for a different shirt. A few years ago I had to return all but one of the shirts I bought because they all ran a size smaller than advertised. I am so glad the shirts now seem to be back to proper sizes. I'm getting ready to order a few more shirts online now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from St. Johns Bay is a wonderful product. I saw the Tahiti Turquoise color at my local JCP and had to buy it for my husband. There were only four in stock and not in his size. I went home and ordered it at jcp.com. The only polo shirts my husband wears are St. Johns Bay Legacy Pique. He loves the fit and comfort, I love how nicely they wash and dry. Never a wrinkle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent shirts! These are wonderful quality shirts. I bought them as part of my son's school uniform, but they are so nice, he will be able to wear them anytime. They feel and look great, and so far are holding up to use very well. I will always look for these first from now on!
Date published: 2016-09-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sale. My fiance likes the shirts, which fit him well. I enjoy shopping JC Penney. I am a bargain hunter, so although I search the entire store, I am drawn to displays of sale items. I am triumphant when I find an item that can be enjoyed by me, a friend, or a family member, that will not "break my bank".
Date published: 2016-10-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price for a great product! I was able to catch these great shirts on sale at my local store, and I must say it was an awesome deal! The shirts fit great, feel great and look great! I would recommend these to anyone that enjoys this type of shirt!

Answer:
I don't know the overall length, but my ex is a big and very tall man about 6'+, and the shirts would be long enough , shirttails would reach past the pockets on him, I think, and the shirt's front would depend on how big the tummy is.... but seems ample enough.

I accidentally picked up an XL and XXL while searching for Mediums.
They may run slightly large anyway.

Shrinkage
Usually I buy Medium, but t bought large because like the sleeves a bit longer, as Medium a bit too short to my taste...will the length shrink after wiashing the shirt in HOT water?

The hot water will shrink it minimally; it's the heat of the dryer that has the most effect on shrinkage

Answer:
Since the shirts are 100% cotton, they will shink some, especially in the dryer. If you like a little extra "give" after it's washed, purchase a size larger than you normally wear and use the heat of the dryer to shrink it.

I believe everything shrinks in HOT water! I did experience some very mild shrinkage in length after drying it, but not washing it in cold water. Actually I wanted the shrinkage because the small shirt was too big for my son.

Answer:
The only shrinkage I have noticed is after repeated washing and drying. I never wash in hot water so don't know what effect it might have. Dryer heat will probably have some effect also. These shirts hold up so well - that's one reason we buy them.

Answer:
Thanks to everyone who answered. I check with a store clerk after going through all of the shirts at a local store and got the same answer as several people who responded.

The "Heather" color shirts are indeed NOT 100% Cotton--they are a Cotton-Poly Blend and not the same quality as the original shirts. They also do not look as well-made as the original solid color shirts either, in my opinion.

Only the Solid Color Legacy Pique Polo Shirts are 100% Cotton.

I wish that Penney's would either list the Heather color shirts separately with the accurate information that they are a blend, or discontinue them and offer more colors in 100% cotton. The Poly-Cotton blend shirts simply aren't the same quality and I won't buy them.

Answer:
I contacted JCPenney a couple of weeks ago about this. But, they are still advertising on their web site that the St. John's Bay Legacy Pique polos are 100% cotton. Not all of the colors are 100% cotton - some are a 60/40 cotton/poly blend. Generally, these are the ones that are described as "heather". I even gave them specific examples with item numbers for several of the shirts that were not 100% cotton.

Answer:
Mine simply say "100 % Cotton" with no mention of Egyptian Cotton--and the ones I have also say they were made in either Vietnam of Pakistan.

Also, only the solid colors are 100% Cotton. The "Heather" colors are a Cotton-Poly blend (60%-40%) and I'm pretty sure they aren't Egyptian Cotton either although I'm not certain since I don't have any of them--I only like 100% Cotton.
