Rated 3 out of 5 by from Outdated colors I have been buying these sweaters year after year. The price is always right, especially when they are on sale or on clearance. The fit is generally good, however I have noticed that the past few years the fabric has changed, they seem to stretch out more so than ones from many years back. My biggest gripe is the color selection. Every year the colors are exactly the same as the year before. I feel they need to update the color palette and offer some colors that coordinate with the fall (think deep cherry red, burnt orange, golden yellow, forest green, plum purple, and chocolate brown). These are the colors that remind me of fall. Some of the current colors are ok, but others are too bright or too pastel, and seem as though they would be better suited for other times of year or certain holidays. I really hate to say this, but with such a limited and repetitive selection, this year I will search for sweaters elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cotton sweater I have been buying these St. John's Bay crew neck sweaters for several years. I love that they are mostly cotton, wash well, wear well, have timeless styling, and can be dressed up or down. However, this year, I have noticed that some of the colors of these sweaters are much bigger than they are supposed to be. They are longer in the sleeves and body and the weaving seems to be looser. I had bought the Amalfi Aqua sweater and had to return it when I realized how much longer it was. I exchanged it for the Southern Blue, same size, which fits like all my previous sweaters. So, although it is a great sweater in beautiful colors, it would be best if you could try it on before purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Have loved these sweaters, but... I've been buying St. John's Bay crew neck cable sweaters for years and have at least a dozen (some need to be replaced now). I am disappointed in two things last season and this season: 1) The color selection this season is nearly identical to last season's colors; I can't refresh my collection because the colors are not different. What happened to white, pale pink, pale blue, any green shade? 2) I agree with yogini9876 about the inconsistent fit -- I tried on two colors in store yesterday and found that the sleeves on Misses ivory size S were all consistently 1-2 inches too long while the sleeves on Misses Southern blue size S were exactly what they should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and comfortable I love these sweaters, and I have them in many colors! They are soft and warm, plus they look great with jeans or khakis. I wear a size M which fits me very well, not too tight for a size 36. The sweaters are a great value as they do not fade and fit comfortably for several years. You won't regret buying one, or more, like I just did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, color selection, style I have 5 of these sweaters in different colors - for a petite the fit is perfect, the material is soft, it wears and washes well. My favorite sweater ever!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for chilly weather Very comfortable and warm. i am 5'7 and 140lb and i bought a small size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from St Johns Bay sweaters I bought one of the St Johns Bays cable knit sweaters in the store, and liked it so much that I ordered several more on-line in colors that they did not have available in the physical store (plus I had a coupon for a percentage off for on-line orders). I have worn St. Johns Bays garments for years, and I was pleased to see that the quality is still superb. The sweaters retain their shape and color well, even after several trips to the washing machine. Since I ordered it at a great sale price and used my $10 Reward, the price was fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best sweaters ever! I love these sweaters! They are 100% cotton, something that is rare to find in sweaters. So they wash great (cold water), they dry great, (I lay mine flat to keep from fading & shrinking, it is after all 100% COTTON!) I love all the colors, I have just about every color in v-neck and this year I've picked up a few in crew neck! Love them! Highly recommend them! Great warm sweater that doesn't cling to your body like a glove! Another plus. Not a tight sweater, not too loose either!

I am a teacher and a mother. I wear a lot of skinny jeans/jeggins. I am looking for sweaters that I can wear with them.

Answer:
Not really. You would need about 2 more inches for that PROFESSIONAL LOOK.

Answer:
More suited for regular pants. The bottom is slightly ribbed and the length of the sweater not as long as shown in picture.

Answer:
I think this sweater would be too short to wear over leggings. Depending on the size, the length would be from 24 -1/2" to 26-1/2." You would do better to find a tunic length.

Hope this helps.

Answer:
This sweater is the length of a regular sweater so your back pockets may show. I wear it with skinny jeans, sometimes with a t-shirt or cami underneath that hangs down a little to get the coverage I want.

Answer:
I think you should be okay wearing these sweaters with jeggings or jeans. I wear mine with jeans (either skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans), but I usually wear a belt as well. They are super cute and comfy! I also love the variety of color choices.

I want to wear this so the blouse peaks out of the bottom but I don't want this too short that it would look awkward. I know they have these in "tall" sizing and I would like to know what would be better. For misses I am usually a small, and a junior I am a medium.

Answer:
Hits me about six inches below the waist (I'm 5' 3"). Not one of the long sweaters sold these days but not too short either. Looks just about like the picture.

Answer:
I wear a petite size small in this brand. The length from the underarm to the bottom is 15". If you have any other sweaters in this length, you can check to see if your blouse peaks out at the bottom. Hope this helps. I'm a solid 5' tall.

Answer:
No. this sweater is way to long for the image that you are trying to obtain, unless you have a really long top underneath, longer than most tailored shirts. Actually it is about the same length as a tailored shirt

Answer:
I found this sweater to be true to size, so it would depend on the material of the shirt you want to wear under it. Something lightweight and silky would definitely work but if you're thinking of something like flannel, you'd want a size up. This sweater is also cotton, so there's a good chance it will shrink after washing unless you use cold water and either lay it flat to dry or use a low setting on the dryer. The bottom of the sweater falls just to the hip, so a shirttail hem should peek at the bottom just as you want. Hope this helps!

Answer:
Personally, I would get a larger size sweater to add a button up to it, the shirt should stick out the back nicely.

I would buy your normal size...The days I sat at work in it all day, it bagged a little bit but not enough to be too big. The days I wore it on the weekends or when I wasn't sitting, it was fine.
