Rated 5 out of 5 by These pants retain their good looks I found a pair of pants that my son can wear to school, job interviews and work. They are comfortable and fit well. After several washings, the pants look new. January 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pants at a bargain price My husband is a supermarket butcher who is 6'4" so he needs pants with a 36" inseam - not always easy to find. I bought a few pairs of these in black for him to use for work. These pants are fantastic! They're really well made and the fabric and construction are of an excellent quality. I used to buy a much more expensive brand of pants for my husband from a different retailer and the black colour would fade after one wash and I was finding that they would fall apart (splitting at the seams, zippers falling apart, etc) a few months later. But I'm finding that these pants are holding up really well to the abuse he puts them through at work and the frequent launderings they endure because of the messy nature of his job. He's had them for a few months now and they still look as good as they did the day I bought them. My only complaint about them is I find they attract lint really easily, but that's nothing a lint roller can't fix. Will buy these over and over again. You really can't beat the price for such a good quality pant! December 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than Dockers I bought these pants about 4 months ago. Since I was not familiar with SJB and they were less than half the price of Dockers, I bought one pair in the store to start. After washing and wearing them one time I was sold. I immediately ordered two more pair online. They are cut straighter than normal pants, and have a modern feel to them. They are perfect for business casual at work, and can also be worn on a date or in a casual setting. They fit me very true to size. After MANY washes, they have only faded a VERY slight amount, and they have not shown any of the normal signs of wear -- fraying, pockets thinning, seams popping. I absolutely love these pants, and strongly recommend them to anyone. The only thing I would recommend is that SJB offer a style with an adjustable waistband, if they don't already. March 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Tall & Thin Young Men My sons are 6' 1 1/2" and 6" 1". The have long legs and trim waistlines. I can never find sizes to fit them in stores, but the 30x34 St. John's Bay Worry Free Classic Fit Pants are PERFECT! These pants aren't baggie on them, plus they drop below the top of their shoes without dragging on the ground. My sons like classic colors, so their favorites are Aviator Navy (Dark Navy), Black and British Khaki (Tan). I personally love that they don't easily wrinkle. Straight from the dryer or off of the line, they are wrinkle-free. Just don't let them wad them in a ball and sit on them. (My boys can FORCE them to wrinkle that way. Sigh...) April 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Employees courteous & helpful. Quality products. Actually, I made 3 different purchases recently. I shopped at the JC Penneys at the Smithaven Mall in Smithtown, NY. I bought a beach wrap and the lady in the shoe department took care of it. Unfortunately, I lost my receipt so I couldn't write my comments about her specifically, but her name was Natasha and she was terrific as were all of the employees who helped me. Employees all should be as nice and helpful as she was. My grandson needed black pants for work and although we liked the St. Johns Bay, they didn't have his size. I purchased a pair of Levis in black and when I got home I ordered the St. Johns Bay on line. They came in the time specified and they fit great....my grandson really liked them. I went back another day and purchased a similar style St. Johns Bay for his brother as he needs them for a Sweet 16. All those who helped me were helpful, courteous and a credit to JC Penneys. Other retail stores could learn something about customer service from these employees. May 29, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Will never buy these again! The absolute worst pair of pants I have ever purchased. The blue slacks faded at the seams and creases. The blue and khaki slacks both frayed at the bottom of each leg. April 7, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Pants fit true to size; Easy care - stay for a good fit April 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My husband loves these. My husband has several pairs. His favorite work pants. April 6, 2016

Answer:
There is a crease down the center of the legs. However, I do not believe it is a permanent crease. In the past, my father has had these pants and once washed and dried, if folded flat (seam to seam) you will not have a crease. You can iron them, not required, to have that crisp, noticeable crease or fold them as soon as you dry them.

Answer:
I don't know about the "33" but the "38" sizes are about 39 inches or so depending on the color. If I try again, I might order 37 inches. I also believe the cut is a little lower on the hips so that doesn't help.
